I'm in the same boat. The PCs I have access to just can't run the benchmark or I'd be playing around making as many cute bunny boys as I'd want. Not that I'd play as one. Any time I have an option to play as my gender I do so and have a very hard time having a strong enough urge/commitment to playing as a male character. I also find that a lot of the times where there is an option to play as a female character the female VA comes off as delivering the lines better than their male counter part. Not that they do a bad job, just that there's more feeling I guess? And yes I'm fully capable of playing and enjoying games where the protagonist is a guy. It's just really hard for me to play as a guy if there's a female option.
I'll happily play as either gender and I've got more male characters than female, but I do identify more with Aurelie than the others – she's "my character" while the others are just characters that I play, though I can't say whether that's anything to do with her gender or just that she's the first character I had and the one I use as my forum identity.
Overall I just like variety in character designs and I feel like the male characters are more distinct, so there's more reason to have an assortment of them.
When I make characters that aren't my main I give them personalities. Heck even my main isn't my head cannon character. I also don't rp often as it's hard for me to come up with ideas and then flesh them out. Like for me if I were to make a male Au Ra they'd most likely be a gruff semi cold emotional person partly due to how they look. In XIV I also don't enjoy having alts unless I'm going to play them enough. The few times I have I always end up feeling bad for neglecting them a bit as there's a lot I still want to accomplish on my main. Either way I'd still would love to play around with the character creator to see what kind of male Viera I could make before early access.I'll happily play as either gender and I've got more male characters than female, but I do identify more with Aurelie than the others – she's "my character" while the others are just characters that I play, though I can't say whether that's anything to do with her gender or just that she's the first character I had and the one I use as my forum identity.

I also like to make up characters but not to RP, just as an ongoing concept, and a lot of my base ideas just come from looking at the story and working out how the characters would interact with it or which one would be the "canon" character for a particular side quest. They interact with each other in my mind and that seems much preferable to trying to engage with other people and come up with story on the spot. When I make characters that aren't my main I give them personalities. I do actually have an Au Ra but he's the opposite of your take – the lighthearted one who asks dumb questions sometimes. Visually I was trying to make him as far from the grumpy stereotype as possible anyway, but their emotes can be a bit dorky when they're not trying to look tough.
But yeah, I already have my Viera in mind and I want access to the character creator so I can play around and watch his emotes and have a character rather than a picture.
Player : フェアリーのミラプリも作ってるんですか?
(Any plan on Fairies glamour?)
Yoshi'p Sampo: フェアリーはエギではないので、予定がないです。残念ながら。
(Since Fairies aren't Egi so, No.)
Let me rephrase then, though I thought I made my reasons for requesting it clear:
It shouldn't be necessary to buy a new laptop to get access to the "Male Viera character creator and customisable Endwalker trailer" that PC players are having a lot of fun with right now but isn't available on PS4.
It'd be nice if they temporarily released some kind of "Character Creator Demo" on the consoles' digital stores when the benchmarks (that include new character options) come out.
