As a former FFXIV-on-PlayStation player, I first thought you wanted the benchmark to be available on PS4/PS4Pro/PS5 to see how the game as it is set on those consoles perform. To this I would say: "YES! Let players know what to expect from a game they can't adjust on a system they can't modify!"
Then you asked more precisely to be able to play with the new character creator. To this I say: "YES! Playing on console is more than often the only videogame solution for people! Don't forget THAT!"

My PC can't run it, like, I open the exe file and it just goes "brrr, nope". And my laptop may be a GAMING laptop, but it's going on 6 years and overheating as hell when I run the benchmark. I don't really have the disposable income or the interest to upgrade it when I don't really use it. Not everyone can run the benchmark even on a PC.
So, a Character Creator demo on the PS Store or something to that equivalent would be very welcome, PS players should also get the chance to play around with the CC and save their character settings for when the expansion drops.
I'll happily play as either gender and I've got more male characters than female, but I do identify more with Aurelie than the others – she's "my character" while the others are just characters that I play, though I can't say whether that's anything to do with her gender or just that she's the first character I had and the one I use as my forum identity.
Overall I just like variety in character designs and I feel like the male characters are more distinct, so there's more reason to have an assortment of them.
I just want to create my Bunnyboy :/
+1 to this. As comical as it was listening to the fans SCREAM on my old gaming laptop, it’s a bit much just to play around with character creator. (Was a bit shocked that I managed to still score high on it though).

My PC stutters pretty badly just watching the trailer on Youtube. I doubt it could even handle the benchmark.
When I make characters that aren't my main I give them personalities. Heck even my main isn't my head cannon character. I also don't rp often as it's hard for me to come up with ideas and then flesh them out. Like for me if I were to make a male Au Ra they'd most likely be a gruff semi cold emotional person partly due to how they look. In XIV I also don't enjoy having alts unless I'm going to play them enough. The few times I have I always end up feeling bad for neglecting them a bit as there's a lot I still want to accomplish on my main. Either way I'd still would love to play around with the character creator to see what kind of male Viera I could make before early access.I'll happily play as either gender and I've got more male characters than female, but I do identify more with Aurelie than the others – she's "my character" while the others are just characters that I play, though I can't say whether that's anything to do with her gender or just that she's the first character I had and the one I use as my forum identity.
