No 'automatic demolition cancelled' message for family member desite entering house

My brother-in-law had a warning about losing his house after a 32 day hiatus so he logged into Final Fantasy XIV and went into both his personal house and his FC mansion.

He interacted with his message book on his personal home, a small plot in Lavender Beds and he received the message in his chat "This house is no longer considered abandoned. automatic demolition canceled".


However, when he went into the FC mansion in Shirogane, he DID NOT get that notification. He used the summoning bell, sent retainers on ventures and listed stuff on the marketboard there, checked his message book, he tried to target and interact with NPCs and objects in the mansion, and he even tried to go into his FC private chambers but NO "automatic demolition cancelled" message.

Neither of us know whether his FC mansion is safe from demolition or not.

Is his FC mansion safe from being demolished if he did not get that message?

I use some of the stuff in his FC mansion fairly often, and so do other FC members. Is mine and other FC members activity in the mansion preventing demolition, is that why he did not get a message for the FC house?

If you open up your timers menu (ctrl+u default) and click on the estate tab it will give you info about the estate, including things such as demolition timer should it exist.

It sounds as though only his private house was being unused, only the homeowner can reset the timer on a private house, not tenants. For FC housing anyone in that FC resets the timer when using the house.

the fc house most likely wasn't on a demo timer as it counts use from all members. What may of been on a time would be passing on ownership of the fc to the next level active player.
