FFXIV's weird prostitution hangup

I don't understand the problem here? Can someone explain it? Your toon got offer a job, for more adult stuff and that bother you? Just kindly decline and move on? Am I missing something? How would that Bartender know unless they ask? Do you think they can read minds? I don't understand why you turning her down is a problem? Maybe, I'm just weird or something, but unless the bartender offers or asks whatever. How would they know you are not into it?

I've had guys hit on me, and such I did not get offended even though I am straight. In fact, I take it as a compliment. Yourself, clearly you are skilled enough and had the people skills to be attractive in that service. Why did you not kindly turn her down but thank her for the complement?

It is kind of amazing how prevalent this sort of thing is on Crystal, particularly Balmung and Mateus.

I mostly play solo but in a bout of loneliness I thought to give FCs a try in hopes of finding a community. What I ended up finding in a short time, trying out like 3 FCs that were actively recruiting, was that each of them had some ERP element/players involved in them, despite not recruiting as specifically RP guilds. Some of them were involved in some kind of night club/venue community that spanned several servers where players either act as bartenders, bouncers, or ERP escorts. Again, these were FCs who were either recruiting in shout or on forums/reddit and never said this was their focus; and I don't think it was their focus, I got the sense this was just second nature to a lot of Crystal players. Their discord servers tended to have NSFW channels for sharing adult content too.

I ended up going to Balmung when I rejoined the game, and later Mateus because the unofficial RP servers seemed really alive and busy. It's just busy with people I mostly wouldn't want to interact with. If I could transfer my house with me I'd get off this data center in a heartbeat. I would really hope it's not as prevalent on other data centers. I've never seen such open thirst from an MMO community.

More women are playing games, and such men will always try to attractive them. Role play will always have this, as real life. Companionship is many peoples life goals, and role play is model after making the world real.


MMOS always had this issue. Even on non rp servers. From Ultima Online, Everquest, and now. Any game thrive on social element will have this in it. Yes, RP servers and such kicks it up a notch...but I could tell you stories about PVP games as well that men act stupid around women.
