Endwalker Benchmark not able to launch

I have been trying to launch the new benchmark but it is not able to, I have tried different methods including reinstall GPU drivers, reinstall the benchmark, updating the drivers, reinstall C++ Redistributable packages, performing a DISM & SFC scan and restart my computer but none of them seems to work.

I opened the event viewer and this error pops up:

Seems like the ffxiv_dx11.exe file just keeps crashing, and I have no idea how to fix it. My original game is alright, it is just the benchmark is not working.

Is there a possible solution to fix it?

    I'm also having issues.

The launcher opens but when I hit start or character creation. I get this error.

Same issue here, application starts up and closes soon after. Exact same event generated.

Good morning fellow adventurers! Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Please provide the following below:

    What Platform? (Steam/Windows)
Are there other programs being used when running the benchmark?

Additionally, please perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the 'Start up' Tab, then Disable everything to see if this may resolve the issue.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Hi Thukoolo,

OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
    Version 10.0.19041 Build 19041
    Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz, 2592 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s)

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti
    Driver version: 472.12
    Driver type: DCH
    Direct3D feature level: 12_1

It is a laptop and also has non-dedicated graphics card.
I updated global gpu setting to always use dedicated card because benchmark wasn't using it initially,
but after that it displays correct GPU on launcher.

I tried disabling everything in startup in task manager and after restarting application still fails to lunch in the same manner.

    Thank you

Thank you for the additional details, XorgateNia.

Just to confirm, is the benchmark folder set to 'Read Only'? (Please be sure to uncheck this option and check 'Read & Write')
Are you launching the Endwalker benchmark in administrator mode?
Have you attempted to uninstalled/reinstalled all benchmark related files?
Does your anti-virus software have the proper exceptions for launching the Endwalker benchmark?
Have you attempted to download all files into a designated folder or are they located all on your Desktop?

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Hi Again,

    > Just to confirm, is the benchmark folder set to 'Read Only'? (Please be sure to uncheck this option and check 'Read & Write')
    1. Folder where unzipped contents are is marked as "Read-only" but it's a filled checkbox, not ticked checkbox. I tried removing checkbox and running the program but same results. Also it gets checked back on automatically I don't know how windows works.

    > Are you launching the Endwalker benchmark in administrator mode?
    2. No not in admin mode but I tried that and same results.

    > Have you attempted to uninstalled/reinstalled all benchmark related files?
    3. Yes

    > Does your anti-virus software have the proper exceptions for launching the Endwalker benchmark?
    4. Yes it should

    > Have you attempted to download all files into a designated folder or are they located all on your Desktop?
    5. Which is the designated folder? Initially I unzipped it in folder located at desktop, I also tried at C:\EWBenchmark\ but that didn't fix it.

Thank you for the follow up XorgateNia,

I apologize for the delay in my response to this issue. Can you please disable Full Screen Optimizations to see if this may make a difference. To disable this feature, please find the "ffxiv_dx11.exe" and right click it and select properties. Then under the compatibility tab, there will be a check box labeled "Disable Full Screen Optimizations". Check it and click apply. Please let us know if this helps with the situation.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums!

    Hi Thukoolo,

Thanks for the reply. That didn't work unfortunately.
