I personally want to see massive PVE field content. As far as PVP goes, (It's been mentioned before but I'll vote for it as well) I'd like to see something like what Ragnarok did with their battles to own locations. Not saying I want to have people take over a location for a set time, but it would be nice to have similar battles. 1 location | multiple groups | a giant battle royal to see who's the last group standing.

With PVE I would love to see more invasion type events like what we have with the garleans. Tons of players fending off invading forces in an open field. Better yet, reverse the rolls. Give us an event where we can capture enemy camps. Sort of like the strongholds we have now, but make it an event where when you win you can actually drive them out from certain camps.

Just my opinion on what I'd personally love to see in game.
Heck, I'm not even asking anything large scale, it can be low man as well or mid man. Just want something. Those roaming NMs that TANAKA put in were amazing. And still fun to kill.
