why do people on this game hate old content?

Why do people hate old content in this game it is some of the best/peak fiction content in this game. For example os12 is one the greatest raids ever to be made in ff14 history there are very few raids like it if any at all. Es11 is also an example of a very good raid not OS12 level but good enough. Like these two look amazing. Older content like alexander/ Os12 and even os8 need more attention and more love. I love os12 and you all should love it too <33333333

Content in the game that isn’t peak level is given no care to make it last long. Soon Ivalice will be just like crystal tower in terms of boring. I blame the power creep but also content in this expansion is noticeable easier and more accessible in my experience

see but I love ivalice its amazing I personally enjoy arr extremes as well it isn't bad content SE should give more incentive to playing it so others will do it. What ends up happening is new players do all the old content unsync get to current content and don't understand what a light party is. They don't understand basic stuff you learn in older expansions I see groups of people wanting to do os12 unsynced you cant teach that fight unsync except for a few phases its sad to see such an amazing raid shit on

I believe it’s less about people hating the older content and more so there is no reason to do it. With the exception of hunting for glamour, mounts etc. There is no major incentive to go back and do anything older no matter how amazing it was. Sadly that’s just the name of the game.

do not mistake hate for less reason to do it.

my friends and I regularily do the roulettes and the like, or do places for glam items, but aside from that, there is often less reason to visit it. If you do relics, you will visit older content, but for the most part, developers code forward, not backwards, and thats where the players spend the most time

I'm kinda of sad to see a lot of negativity here on the forums though. As someone coming from WoW this game is just the best, and i met a nice free company who has been extremely nice and helpful and i get random whispers from people making sure i'm doing ok and if i need any help. I would never imagine such kindness and compassion in WoW, if anything WoW's community and playstyle makes the community despise you if you dont keep up an elitist level. Even if you were new to wow or content people expect you to be a master at it and if you aren't you get booted and scorned. I never had any of that here in this game. if you learned one thing from WoW it should be the forums are usually worse than the game, no mmo is different
the forums are composed of a VERY small subset of players, and you should never make the mistake of judging the in game people by its forums... for any game.

People don't hate old content, more like we already did the content and got all the rewards from it. I'm only doing some Stormblood Extreme fights for a friend right now because they are newer and want the nine tailed fox mount. O12S is a great fight, yes, buti already have the gear I want glamour-wise and the Omega mount. People want to do Eden because that's the newest content. Only reason to do older content is to get stuff for yourself or help a friend or FC member get rewards.

IMO the reason old content is oftenhated so much is because the game has so little contnet to do at any given time that it literally gets ran to death...

when players end up run paradgims reach 6+ times a week for example chasing there weekly drop for 3+ months because thats like the only raid thats current or worthwhile in terms of gear. combined with even more running of the previous 2 for the coins to augment tomes...

it no surprise players hate it becaue theyend up running it 100+ times in 3 months and totally sik to death of it. all of the gamescontent is the exact same.. there's so little content that you could label relevent at any time that its gets ground in to the earth and no surprise players enver want to see it again.

I'm new here and i haven't been to ishgard yet, i'm loving the content. The crystal tower was a little boring but the alliance raids were fascinating. I had many good laughs and enjoyments in the manderville questline. That guy is awesome ^_^. I enjoy doing the simple dailies of the beastmen as well as taking my time getting all my jobs to level 50 ^_^. As a new player this game is amazing and i havent even touched any of the expansion content past the base game.

i Understand all the reasoning behind why people might not wanna do it but for me Strictly extremes/savages and such teach a lot and way too many new players run through them unsync and know nothing at all idk paying for allthe expansions and only playing 1 tier of raids IMO is not worth it and getting to do the older "end game" content helps better prepare players for current content as well.
