Yup. It's a nice, non-religious day for Romance -- well, Christmas Eve is anyway. Christmas is just another day. The kids may get the day off (the New Year school break is almost there), but you still show up for work.

Think of Christmas Eve as the more popular Japanese version of Valentine's Day, as it gives couples an excuse to go out and have a romantic evening.

If you're playing this game (or any game, really) over the holidays, there shouldn't be any problem with timing, other than that One Day (25 December). You are free to excuse yourself from the obligatory religious festivities in time for your static to resume beating up on raid bosses.

To the original poster: You've already chosen between the game and family. 8+ hours per day dedicated to a new raid tier at any other time would mean 8 hours of work followed by 8+ hours of raiding followed by sleep. No grandma visits, no child-rearing adventures, nothing else. Unless, of course, everyone in your static has vacation time every 3 months?
