Please change release date of Pandaemonium Savage

It was said in the Live Letter that the new raid would be released 2 weeks after endwalker release, and savage mode 4 weeks after. Given how Endwalker's release date is November 23rd, this means savage will be released on December 21st...

Aka Christmas week. I know Christmas is not that big of a deal in Japan, but in most Western countries its one of the busiest weeks of the year.

Hardcore week 1 prog usually involves doing days of 8+ hours of raiding if you want to clear the tier that week. It might sound unnecessarily intense but a lot of us are excited to do it because savage release only happens 3 times per expansion. People even schedule vacation time from work for this very occasion.

However, a lot of people just cannot do that in Christmas week, let alone Christmas eve and actual Christmas day. One thing is taking time off work and another is making us choose between a game and family.

Please consider moving the savage release date either one week earlier or one week later, because it feels like SE just does not even give people who like to do week 1 prog a second thought.

No, it wasn't an oversight, like you said, JP develops based on JP interests and they don't really give 2 yen about "Christmas" time. Yoshi-P says clear your schedule, well you better choose one or the other.

Nobody forces you to clear Savage week 1. It's not running away. Your shiny new armor and weapons and all the other stuff will still be waiting for you to collect after christmas..

Also, even in the western world, christmas means for most people nothing more to share a meal together and trade presents nowadays. You can fit that into your raiding schedule with ease.

Youre right nobody forces us to clear savage week 1! I know savage isnt going anywhere however trying to do it week 1 is a whole different experience because its a time where people come up with their own strats and try to solve the puzzles on their own. its a really unique experience that raiders get only 3 chances to experience per expansion.

Youd think theyd at least consider one of the most widely celebrated holidays in the entire world though? A very significant portion of their players arent japanese. even some japanese players on social media have expressed to have issue with the scheduled savage release.

I mean Christmas is still a big holiday in Japan you know. Not the same significance for most Japanese citizens, but it's still widely celebrated and a pretty big deal.

Its very possible to solve the puzzle yourself and develope your own strats way after week one - my very casual static has been doing that for years. Its as simple as not looking at a guide... As long as you stick to that, you can have that unique experience with a fight thats new to you at anytime. Someone who hasnt looked up anything about Coil could have that unique experience with T13 today.

Right. You do you, basically. If your group agrees, you can all celebrate christmas and still go in the raids blind and on minimum itemlevel after the holidays.
PF may be another thing though, but that's over on day one anyway as there will always be someone being like "I watched the world first race just now and they did it like this.." even on blind progress groups.
