Please implement something to teach players how to play

Ya but the game design kinda went away from that really. Like with the easy mode MSQ and stuff. I'm a old school spirit. I find that guilds and or Linkshells building a social network is the best way to get what you want and not have to deal with pug groups. Sadly though convenience of push to play kinda made it so players did not need to be social.


I do agree with you on the class missions, but our classes have took some major revamp over the years. And it might be a time thing the reason why they don't do a solo duty that teaches players class. Because they would have to update it each time they do some major changes and add new skills. It would be a ton of work. So the community is the only thing that can really fix it I think anyway.

Show me on the picture where the WoW players hurt you. Jebus, why do so many here despise the WoW community? I only know of it from my uncle but he kinda abandoned ship during Wrath of the Litch King. Hmm. Now that I am thinking on this, he had nothing but positive things to say about his adventures there. Whatever boats your float though! A little projection never hurt anyone right?

Aye, holdover from my forum administration days. I mean some of the things you say are not completely wrong yet other things ohhh my they boggle the mind.

So you do work with CAD! I did not much get to experiment with it, when I did work on stuffs it was mostly game development or server related. Ohhhh wait, some 3D modeling work too that was a doooooozy. 90% of what I do now is more on the web development side or emulation, occasionally modding. Now some of my family would talk the ears from your head about anything engineering related!

I don't hate the wow community? I just said that you give off that vibe. I'm use to people like them, as I was a raid leader for the longest time in that game.


And, ya that is just how I am? I have mix views on everything. And yes I use to design engines and had to adjust from drawing to using cad. The problem was the company felt it had to update cad every new one that came out, and every Fing update would change the key commands up.

You just repeated yourself, from page 42 or somewhere around that general area. This may be groundhog day, but the pages at the bottom of the forum have informed me that it is 82, but the same things continue to be said. I personally could care less, honestly, it is just.....truly awe inspiring, in the opposite direction. It similar to my enjoyment in watching a train wreck, the theoretical kind not an actual train wreck.

I found the exact page it was page 19

That dead weight brings balance to the social elements of the game. Queue systems saves you time, but should have risks. If people don't want to carry others, than make your own groups or make friends with people who have the same mindset as you and form groups. Anything and everything should be fair game in queue systems because that balances the game out. Build a social network.

Teaching people who don't want to be teached is pointless and waste of time. People have the tools to build own groups, and make friends. Be social and do that. It counters the problems people have now.

This is true I doubt some people have indeed read all of the pages at this point, but there is some strange feeling it was many's intention to bury the information posted because no one is going to read all 82 pages at this point. It is similar to one of those novels that have all fluff and no substance at this point.

So Im trying to look at it from a developer point of view. Like is it really worth adding? As fast as they push content, and hard as they work. They might just not have the time

They most likely not fix any of it, this is true. One of those, put it out there and maybe someone will see it, but not put too much hope into it actually being a thing. That would be the best way and I think you mentioned it on page 40 something or maybe also page 60 or 70 something a few times, a trust system for early dungeons would be good as well. Maybe not the super early ones, but unsure. Those first few dungeons were a hot mess, but a beautiful hot mess I wish to never change. I will never forget the tank who seen a web in toto rok and just bolted in the opposite direction when one of my friends went in there for their first time. They were laughing so hard wondering what was happening. It was glorious. Something was said about 'I don't know what I am doing, but I can't see threw the tears, I have been laughing to hard'

We do have the squads, but I think square already said they will never revisit that content even though they never finished with all of it, most likely because they were planning and later added the whole trust system in shadowbringers.
