Because I think you overestimate how many are like you.
I think you are like a 0.001% of the playerbase, if even that high.
Because you are the first person that I know of that is admittedly not a team player when entering group content.
That most people will try to do the content to the best of their ability - which means using all or most of your available skills, not just the ones that look cool. So no, I do not think you play to the best of your ability. And that's sad.
Because I expect that players who enter PUG content will do the minimum: be a team player. That they will use most or all of the skills available in order to complete the content.
Why do you enter PUG groups when you admit that you don't do the minimum? Remember the minimum for PUG content is being a team player. Team players aren't selfish. Not using all of your skills and forcing everyone else to take longer to get through content is selfish.
I don't think that word means what you think it means.

Thank you for making my point for me. It can be used on both sides. So it is silly to use it.
Stop being selfish and acting like people should play to your standards in a pug group. You did not make the group, so let people have fun.
I was getting worried with all this selfish talk. It is like people don't know the meaning of the word.
It is selfish to want your groups to go by faster at the cost of other peoples fun. A pug settings and the content is design for players like me. So your standards mean nothing and it is selfish to expect them from others in a pug settings.
The level of ego of wanting a pug group to be on the same standard as a Linkshell is amazing to me.

Sorry darlin', but I am no longer in the 'debate'. Your debates are like a childs slapping competition, sad and unenjoyable. I don't care if I win or lose a debate, but the 'debate' ends when the other side is just trying to derail a thread. This thread is not about how people play the game, it is about those wishing to learn, and how to better teach those who actually wish to learn within the game, not watching outdated youtube videos.
To go back to the actual topic, I was doing the level 65 Scholar quest. I have a few new skills I would like to get the hang of at that level, and find that my party is finally able to be aoe healed, which was amazing. The thing that was not amazing was that I was depending on Excogitation to heal the npc character who was tanking within the quest. That is something else I would like to change about the class quest for teaching purposes. How am I suppose to get use to using abilities if most of them never worked during the quests? These are mandatory, presumably, to teach me the skills I have acquired throughout the leveling process. When none of them work, how can I even see how they interact before being thrown into a dungeon with that particular class? Not to mention I have been noticing the skill you get from the quest is usually the skill you would have wanted to practice during that mission. You don't though, you get it after the mission it would have been perfect for, such as the astro's aoe during the quest with a ton of dudes.
What is a Titanmen or do I even wish to know?
I was gonna say something about ignoring the troglodyte clones buuuuut it already said something derpy before I could type this post. I mean.. just look at it. We have gone from possible troll to "Tell me about the rabbits" levels of sad. Two fat Americans walk into a bar I mean, attempt to walk into a bar.
I hopes this Titanmen construct was more of the interesting type. At the least I can anticipate returning here for my daily endorphins as a streamer once said.
Are there any forum moderators here? Also when does the hootananny start? I think I may have missed it. Darn it I always miss it.
Dang. You pulled out the Darlin card. My wife did a pretty good job getting on your nerves huh? I understand how it is. No worries.
Anyway, I already gave you the answer. Let Trusts be duoed and let the community teach people using it. You can't add content design around "teaching" because classes always change. And making the content harder. You would just have people life my wife that would get me to do it for her. Or people just won't do it.
That is the only thing the company can do to keep everyone happy. (well besides the people who wants Duty Finder to have better quality of players.)
Since you are kinda new to the community (by join date) my advice to you is to get use to players like my wife in a pug settings. Also, yes the forum has mods, but no need for them. Noone is breaking the rules, they are pretty understanding that just because we disagree does not mean we are trolling. Unlike you who admitted that you tried to get a rise out of my wife.
I don't think you know what any of those words you're using mean but I don't want to link 10+ definitions.
This isn't really about time as you keep using that as your strawman.
Since you've given us a view into your mind I'm curious how you feel about this.
I'll be generous at least 55% of everyone who queues for roulette does it for the completion reward.
That means that if you were to join a pf 3/4 people would only be there to finish the dungeon. As long as you clear it doesn't matter how long it takes.
Now lets say you run out the timer,
But 3 other people cared about clearing and they're not having fun, only you. How is that not selfish?
You as a dps who in general doesn't dps, same as a healer who doesn't heal.
Except they're not having fun, because of you. How can you say you're not being selfish when
So why is it okay for you to make 3 other people not have fun because of the standards you set but it's not okay for you to not have fun because of their standards?
How can you say
While being okay with 3 other people not having fun and being the main contributor? Because you're selfish,
You don't care about other people.
You're selfish, egocentric, and you just want your next fix and you'll tear down anything that might get in your way.
