If you got a group of players that played like her. The content would still get done. Maybe it would take much longer. But as long as it gets done that is all that matters to them. That is what DF is, and what it is design for.
She may not literally come out and say it, but the fact that she doesn't use all of her skills, means she's implying it.

The longer fights take, the more likely a player is to make a mistake that causes a wipe. Be it choosing the wrong healing skill to use by accident for a healer. For a tank mistiming a cooldown. To a DPS not getting out of an AoE on time because they thought they could get one more attack off.

By your wife not using all of her skills, means that the average fight time is longer. Meaning a higher chance of a wipe.

Not to mention some duties have DPS checks in them that if they are failed, cause a wipe.

Your wife not using all of her skills, means a higher chance of a wipe unless the other players are performing well enough.

And what if one of the other players in the group wanted to be able to just do a relaxed run and not worry about performing their rotation perfectly?

Depending on group composition and skill level, that player wanting a more relaxed run may have to do a more tight run in order to get the group through the content.

Which is why I suggested she compromise and use more of her skills in 4 man dungeons where her lower DPS matters has the greater impact. Because then she's not always asking others to play to her preferred style. Not saying she needs to use all of her skills. Just to use more of her skills.
