and those toxic elitists are, like, how many? if we say 5% of the playerbase are the toxic casuals who don't use 90% of their kit for whatever reason, then those toxic elitists are around...? 1% 0.5%?I expect players in pugged content to be team players.
Not to get harassed for my mistakes by the toxic elitist.
Not for my run to take twice as long as the average run because a member of the party decides they don't want to use all of their skills because they don't look cool.
I don't expect perfection and if it's a post-50 dungeon and a handful of the pre-50 dungeons, I go in expecting there might be a wipe or two.
Now, I don't mind a run taking an abnormally long time due to a player who is trying to get better actively learning and getting better. I'd even accept not completing the content in that case. Because the time was well spent teaching another player how to play their class and the game.
But if we're constantly wiping and the party is asked to perform a little better and a response back is "Sorry, I only use these 2 skills because they look cool. I don't use my high DPS skills because they don't look cool." then I'm not fine with that and that player shouldn't be either. Because they're not being a team player. I'd be against any toxic elitist in the group jumping down their throats for it, because there's a better way to get a player to compromise than attacking them. Because attacking a player is likely going to get them to double down on whatever it is you're asking them to change. They'll be less likely to compromise.
