Because we are incentivized to do so, be it by exp, currencies, the MSQ, unlocks, or progress through a relic for example. I've always taken an issue with the lack of some sort of MMR specifically for this.
im baby
Guess I'm an elitist for expecting people to know how to push more than 2-3 buttons.
If the game was designed for jobs to only have 2-3 buttons then why do we have all these extras? From what I can gleam this game is intended for you to make use of no less than 3/4 of the actions.
If you wanna be lazy in dungeons stick to trusts. But oh wait, that takes too much effort to level them. Guess you'll be stuck risking kicks for holding groups back. Enjoy not getting dungeon completion.

I'm just going to call this out. If two or 3 buttons is enough to get through the content. That is all that is required, than yes you are being one.
Lucky for you the game has options that lets you get around it. Leaving the group, or better yet. See if other people in the group have the same issues as you and vote kick them. Trust me they won't care, and will just group up again.
You get rewards for playing and putting up with these types of players. Lucky for you the content is so easy that even if they play like that. You still get it done.
The lengths you people go to defend this stuff. Looks like the community needs to set a standard and stick to it so lazy leeches like you ether shape up or leave the game because it's "too hard" or "too much effort"I'm just going to call this out. I find it funny that you all want to call them leeches, but they can get the content done without your skills. If all of them group up and leech with each other. They still would get through the content.
Ah so we going down that rabbit hole eh? That can be turned around on you.
Besides the few people on this forum. Most people are pretty chill and ok in groups as long as the content gets done. So I don't get much of a chance to laugh at silly drama because the community is just so accepting and nice in the content I do with her. Makes me happy for her. Sad for my humor.

We don't get to pick who we're paired with, so please excuse us for taking issue with people that put in less effort than us for the same amount of rewards.
But you do; you can choose to do your daily roulettes with a pre-set party (which I highly recommend). By doing the random DF, you are agreeing to take on whatever you get, be they dregs of society or the second coming of Christ himself.
@Rinhi and @Wavaryen
Sorry if this is presumptuous, but I feel you (and several others) are arguing strongly about completely different positions than you feel the other has.
My understanding is Rinhi and some others are arguing the F- crowd that AFKs and does not engage in content sucks and needs to improve. I think we all agree with that.
I think there is discussion to be had about how prevelant these F- players there actually are, and whether it's worth resources to force them to improve when we can(and should) kick them from content. For myself, I can't imagine this part of the population is more than even 1% of all players, and even then I'd bet they are just alt-trolls.
Wyvaryen and others (myself included) are arguing that your average C+ player, who can play and clear the content competently...but not necessarily as fast as your A+ player, is perfectly fine. Defending this position doesn't make him (or me) a leech or defender of leeches.
I'm not sure we agree on that, but the Devs seem to, so I'd think that makes this position acceptable.
Not meaning to put words in mouths, but it does feel like people are missing each others' points.

I always come back to a little experiment I did in Heavenswards. Since that was the height of the "healers shouldn't have to DPS!!!!" argument, I opted to test whether said healers could. If my co-healer didn't turn on Cleric Stance within 25 seconds of a trial, I let them solo heal the whole thing. My only exceptions were new players and to generally try and salvage a run if it became clear they simply couldn't handle it.
Oh, boy did I see things. The sheer number of players who, despite insisting healers were only meant to heal, had no idea how to actually heal was staggering. I even came across someone in full accuracy melds who spammed Medica II for literally everything and bottomed out at the start of adds in A12. They couldn't even heal the first phase solo. I even had one Dun Scaith run with a White Mage who used something like 50+ Medica II casts or something absurd.
Simply put. Not a single one of these healers could have ever cleared without their co-healer doing nearly everything for them. The healers who turned on Cleric during this experiment? Never had any problems healing with them. Go figure.
