Not sure why you're quoting me. I didn't quote you. Keep doing you.Not sure what this has to do with topic at hand. Must be rough living in your own world. I feel bad for ya.
I think the point is trying to be made is that people like myself are happy with the content how it is, so if you want better tools to learn that is fine. Just don't force players to use said tools and that is that.

There are some kind of aoes (the dark/Gold ones with lot of circles) i still dont know why they are different. I guessed the closer you are to the center the more damage you get? am i right?
Aye! You are indeed correct, though it could still be crazy when it comes to Shinryu, and when a million things have a proximity pulse.
Not sure if they mean Shinryu extreme or not, but everyone has to do the story version of that fight to finish 4.0 and you still can get those types in the story version of the fight.
God the longer this goes on The surer I am Endwalker needs a silent echo door boss. Tataru is gonna challenge you before you can start the expansion and if you can't handle her dps check now you will never survive her final boss form at the end of the game.
That asking for a bare minimum of effort from others in group content is seen a controversial take is disappointing.
Don't let anyone tell you the ffxiv community isn't toxic because I've never seen another game with a non trivial amount of players who think its a virtue to be a bad player and its elitism to just be slightly less bad. The sheer entitlement is amazing.

So what is effort to use skills I don't enjoy using? Well nah. I will do the best in the way I enjoy. In content that is design around it. Now if this cutting edge content. Or super end game stuff. Than you take would be valid. Lucky for us a small part of community cares about this non issue. So lucky for us the community is understanding when it comes to easy content. So it is not so toxic after all.
Which is an entirely selfish mentality, especially for a DPS whose literal only purpose is dealing damage. Nothing is designed with the intention of players not using it. Dungeons are made easier on the assumption inexperienced players may not understand all of their toolkit not purposefully ignore it because they dislike how a spell or action looks. Don't try to excuse your attitude as anything more than selfishness. So what is effort to use skills I don't enjoy using? Well nah. I will do the best in the way I enjoy. "The silence is your answer."
Ah ok. So it is selfish to play how I want. In content that is balance and design for playing like that.
Good to know! Well I will gladly be selfish because the game supports it, and the developers are ok with it.![]()
Yes? In what universe wouldn't it be selfish to deliberately ignore beneficial things simply because you dislike them? An equivalent would be you working on a group project and deciding not to do 25% of the assignment because you just didn't like that part.
The game doesn't "support" ignoring your toolkit nor do the developers. It's simply the result of casual content scaled on the assumption inexperienced won't yet grasp everything. Blatantly stated, the assume players will eventually get more comfortable and start using their full kit. They aren't expecting players to purposefully ignore it because they dislike the animations are pink instead of red.
Fortunately, I don't have to "deal with it" as I have a handy Vote Dismiss option I will readily use coming across any player deliberately leeching like this. Even more fortunate for both us is we'll never come across each other since we're on different DCs. Hallelujah

That is a big heap Chernobyl level toxicity. Playing as you describe is not how content, any content was designed. It was designed with the expectation that players would use most of the skills/spells available to them. Developers generally are not building things or giving players abilities you aren't meant to use.
Just because you can clear something in the allotted time does not mean it was intended to be, and just because something can be cleared by running around casting scathe, in an albeit slower pace, does not mean it was originally designed to be done that way.
Choosing to play that way with others is at best disrespectful to others' time. This is toxicity in one of its higher forms because it tries to flip the script on the typically toxic elite savage raiders demanding high dps, when in reality its just a bunch of normal people trying to play and get activities done in a reasonable amount of time.
