Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

To prevent repeating previously attempted troubleshooting, what have you tried to alleviate the problem? Does this issue happen when Final Fantasy XIV is the only program running? Also, could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

Hello Rhaervis,

I had the problem again today in Doma Castle. Just FFXIV who cuts the sound. Discord, Youtube, etc. are working fine. The problem is not persistent it's random as the last time is almost a month ago, but when it does I need to restart the game and then it's working properly again.

I apologize for the delay in our response to your concern. Does this issue occur when Final Fantasy XIV is running along side different programs? Additionally are any headphones or external devices plugged in when this issue occurs?

Hello and no worries for the delay as I am delayed too in my answers.
Well I always have Discord running but I use it everyday so not really an issue there, same for my headset and microphone.
A member of my FC also had the issue today when we entered Bismarck, relogged and it was fine. She too uses Discord and her headset everyday while playing.
