The mispronouncing is rather hilarious, nglCongratulations, you managed to set aside your preconceived notions about Asmongold (trust me, I had them also) and see a side of him that is quite different from the Stream Persona. I was surprised myself by how different he was in his ZackRawrr videos, but I quickly understood that is because that's.. you know, Zack, the actual person talking rather than Asmongold.
It makes you realize most of what he's doing on stream while playing FFXIV is probably on purpose, acting disgusted by Lala's, mispronouncing everything, not unlocking anything that most players would, not using porters, not configuring his UI, etc.
This is our future. Our story.
Very good vid.
Very entertaining. I like the way he injects humour keeping a straight face while I'm LOL.
He is actually teaching me things that I skipped or flipped through. I guess it's better having someone reading the many pages of text for you then ploughing through them yourself.

That is a good video and I thought he made well thought out points. He is absolutely bang on the money about how hard it is to even get into the game. I'm trying to get my brother into the game and trying to explain to someone who has never dealt with the mog station how to navigate it is a royal pain in the ass, even over voice chat. I nearly had to drive over to his house to do it for him as we were wasting so much of our gaming time messing about with it.
He does really seem to have enjoyed dipping his toe into our world and I think it's great to see, his steam persona isn't for everyone but it never will be I guess and I sincerely tip my hat to SE for how they dealt with his harassment, it's nowhere near as bad as it was on day one. He seems to have realy tried to give the game a good go, reading all the quests text, watching the cutscenes etc... and despite what many thought didn't come in with a hater attitude.
I am not really a stream watcher to be honest and I did think it was going to be an absolute mess him streaming the ARR quests but he has made it entertaining so fair play to him, I'm looking forward to more of his streams and that's something I thought I would never say as someone who doesn't usually watch streams.
I'm so glad he likes it both as a fan of his streams and this game.
Also happy he brought up the pain of steam and mogstation, for a new player I can understand it being a pain in the butt while for us seasoned with the system don't think to much of it but it could use some rework for sure.
I mean at least it isn't Playonline from the mid 2000s that some of us oldies remembers.

I didn’t know the guy before all of this, but his let’s-plays have been on point. He sincerely has been playing the game like any random dude could; he’s had his jabs in good fun, but mostly he’s been very respectful of the actual content- reading it all, not skipping anything and trying his best to do the content as correctly as he understands he should. Nothing trolling about him thus far.
From reading comments here I was certainly expecting bad, but I’d be happy to play with this guy anytime.

PlayOnline still gives me nightmares...
It took me a few hours just to set up accounts to be able to log into XI...
I guess the Mog Station is an improvement over that? *cough*

I'm always happy to see new players, and I'm especially happy to see a new player that previously couldn't get over the uwu owo we have in this game. Genuinely hope he continues to enjoy it, and I'm especially looking forward to his reaction to seeing Good King Moogle Mog for the first time.
