Performance issues (FPS Drops below 30)

Hey guys,

just a short question. Is there anything I can do to prevent that weird FPS drops in main cities?

Over night I get about 50 FPS and when there are many other players I drop below 30. Its super weird because I believe my PC isnt that bad.

Outside of cities I dont get more than 75 FPS.

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600X (~50% usage)
GPU: RTX 2060 SUPER (also average 50% usage)
16 GB RAM (~9,5 used)

Latest drivers are installed. Previous drivers had the same behaviour.

Is this game really that badly optimized or is there something I missed?

Setting my graphic settings from maximum to low just bring about 5-6 FPS. Nothing more.

I would try DDUing (Dissplay Driver uninstaller) your drivers in Safe Mode, it's known that Nvidia Drivers get scuffed if they're installed on top of eachother, even if you use the "Clean Install" checkbox when installing the driver.

To prevent repeating previously attempted troubleshooting, what have you tried to alleviate the problem? Does this issue happen when Final Fantasy XIV is the only program running? Also, could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'
