Windows 10 installed updates to my PC early Tuesday morning and ever since, Final Fantasy XIV frequently freezes during game.

My game will be working one moment, the next moment everything on the screen comes to a halt, my controller stops working, and if I click anywhere, I get a "not responding" in the title bar of Final Fantasy XIV.

When Final Fantasy XIV freezes, it will not unfreeze at all no matter how long I wait. The only thing that I can do is force close Final Fantasy XIV with the Task Manager.

Once Final Fantasy XIV freezes and I force close Final Fantasy XIV, If I try to launch the game again, Final Fantasy XIV will always freeze again right at launch. The only way I can run Final Fantasy XIV again is by restarting my PC.

This becomes a HUGE problem if I am in duty or whatever because during the process of force closing Final Fantasy XIV, restarting my PC, logging back into Final Fantasy XIV, waiting for the "not properly logged out" message, and waiting in queue to get back into the world, I could EASILY be vote kicked or something.

This has been a daily problem, sometimes multiple times a day ever since Tuesday. Sometimes after a freeze and I restart my PC, and get back into the game, it is only a matter of five or 10 minutes before Final Fantasy XIV freezes again.

I looked in the Windows Event Viewer but there was not anything regarding Final Fantasy XIV in there other than a launcher issue from January.

Does anybody know what the problem could be? Is anybody else having this issue since Windows Update?
