    Flamethrower
    Placing a turret involves ground targeting which is already a bad idea of its own and SQEX thankfully tries to stay away from it.
    Plus, if I follow exactly what you say, you want a turret to place once every 60 seconds that attacks in a frontal cone?

    Picture the same problems as Dotons:
    You place your turret, it starts attacking. Tank moves, turret can't attack or only a portion of the group.
    This will lead to more problems than QoLs.

    Hypercharge
    I'm confused, you want the button that makes MCH enters overheat phase to also detonate wildfire...? You will always pair Hypercharge and Wildfire.
    At that point, why not make Wildfire AoE damage per default and consuming heat?

    Heatblast I understand the animation is special but why should it be able to auto crit? And why it doesn't make sense that it doesn't auto crit?
    So far only Warriors have auto crit GCDs, MCH and DRG to an extend through their abilities.

    Flamethrower being a turret would make it function the same way we do now when we activate the skill, It would just be more of a "balance" thing so that it doesn't alter the ability too much, and I mean if a tank moves now, you're already not hitting anything with it, and not hitting the enemies with anything else since flamethrower is silly and locks you out of doing anything else.

    And I never said that heatblast should auto crit, I said it should BE ABLE to crit in general. I don't know what it would do to our overall dps but it would have to be better than not being able to crit with the ability at all.

    I don't think they want to change much for Savage but see how things work there and change it later.
    Would kinda suck if they changed things more drastically and then on day 1 the balance is way different.

    I understand the disappointment tho ( sad NIN noises ).

    23 p4s kill before seeing anything that wasnt a brd as a ranged. Ninja was the only other job not represented in the top 20. Which once more proves how much ranged aren't really taken because people enjoy them or because it doenst matter which one you take, but because of the 1% buff that would handicap the less your group. Machinist and ranged in general really need something

    The numbers tuning for MCH (and ranged in general) is honestly pretty horrific in EW. They are second bottom DPS only above DNC despite being "selfish", when RDM, SMN, and BRD are equally mobile, give buffs, easy/easier to play.

    I've never felt bad about the job I play, but I do feel like I'm griefing my savage group by not playing BRD.

    Don't play much, working for a living and all that.

    Blew a fat chunk of gil on some crafted gear and spent all my materia trying to meld. some pieces overmelded.

    Starting to regret my choices and should have stuck with SMN and get RDM to 90. I like my mobility but man I hope I don't get auto kicked joining PF as MCH.

    And no, I'm not going to use BRD.

    It is a little weird seeing no buffs for MCH, considering every other rdps in the game brings utility while MCH doesn't bring anything but dps (which again it doesn't bring).

    You could argue that it's only below average because of aDPS, but in reality RDM and SMN do pretty much the same DPS or more while providing more utility and about the same mobility, and for the 1% buff BRD is by far best in slot in rDPS.

    MCH might be the only class in the game that wouldn't be taken in groups because...it provides absolutely nothing at all that others can't do better.
