    Assuming this is the MCH feedback thread:
    I understand the lower potencies right now due the new math for the physical damage calculations, however:

    I always feel that MCH and BRD have the same damage output, and BRD has more party utilities, therefore why shouldn't MCH have a DPS akin to the lowerst of melee/caster? Like NIN. It is high for ranged, but low if you compare to other two roles. You might think about ranged tax, but often when a melee can't hit a boss a ranged can't either (like E12S where the boss stays unvulnerable when melees and rangeds have to move) and SMN in 6.0 will have plenty of instant-casts (and RDM has good movement alongside healing, raising-spam, damage and defense buff AND good damage.) I will wait for the actual release to have a concrete opinion on the potencies and DPS, but I want to express this here now. Either that, or some utility.

    Just anything that doesn't make me feel "I can do this on BRD and help more."

    Now, onto the ping issue. I play from Brazil using a VPN. I get around 130~ms and I am able to do 6GCD under WildFire. But that's because my internet company have really, really good routes. Giving WF the bunshin treatment (making it like 12 seconds but only 6 GCDs) would fix the job for alot of players, and even more those outside from the main areas (NA/EU/JP). Also a SA server would be nice, but that's for another topic. Since right now, WildFire is a very demanding thing (be able to weave, having VPN/Good internet, use your skills in a very tight timer) to do a damage that others jobs don't have to do as much work. It is a oGCD damage, but it does lack the oomph like the OP said.

    Aside from that, I like the idea that we are moving on to more gadgets. I do want to see Soundblaster in the future, and even if possible to make US be the automaton queen, like we turn into it or a magitech mecha. I like the engineer and many gadgets/tools rather than just gun.

    As much as people say “Machinsit isn’t a gunner job” despite the devs introducing it as such in the job reveal way back when, my concern isn’t gadgets my concern is both the fact that MCH is actively removing its gun play every expansion, and the gadgets themselves. Flashy in nature but tone deaf in execution to the point of being generic GCD which apply to every single skill MCH has not even joking with its more complex ones being equally dull and uneventful like wildfire and …I guess just wildfire

    With the removal of spread shot, I think MCH only has its 1-2-3 Heat blast and Gauss round as it’s only uses for guns. What MCH needs its more skills combining both Gadgeteer flare and its gunner appeal something we haven’t gotten since arguable Ricochet. Let’s be reasonable what did Chainsaw add to the rotation? What did Scattershot add that was so vital? Annoying how with all of MCH hang ups they end up getting just another tacked on GCD to fit with its other 2 GCD, and 6 other Ogcds.

    MCH mains have never been bright to suggest anything beyond “gimme 1 skill that won’t do anything” as of late and even more think the gameplay is flawless but like is it? Is Heat blast so fun to press over and over? Is having 6 GCDs abit gluttonous and fatty? Is wildfire a joy to press? Are the turrets fun? Is the standard loop even thrilling? I really don’t wanna look forward to 7.0 thinking it’s getting 1 aoe

    Yeah, it is to me. I love MCH.
    Although I would like the turrets to be expanded on a bit more instead of the fire and forget of what it is now.
    Can it be better? Yes.
    Is it the dumpster fire people make it seem in this thread? No.

    No one say it's a dumpster fire, people say there's not a point in mch existing and our core issues are never heard and fixed.
    Ask for rapidfire and wildfire to be charged based or just removal of rapidfire? Remake the job based on that specific skill with hypercharge.
    Ask for Flamethrower to actually do something? :^)
    Ask to have a minimum of dps, support tools or movement needed in fight? see above.

    Job works, that's it.

    Flamethrower belong to the garbage can but MCH is fine.
    The problem is that it's "just" fine.

    It's flat and doesn't have much more to its kit. The gauge are way too simple, both are fill and empty with one ability.
    And the Queen is fully automated so one of your gauge has no interaction at all beyond emptying it.
    Take a look at wildfire, you press it, you press Hypercharge and you just resume your rotation. Is it fun?
    Flamethrower? press and go brew some tea or something.
    1 2 3 filler is quite boring.

    The only interesting tools in the whole kit are Drill, Air Anchor and Hypercharge+GR/Ricochet.

    And that simply I mentioned every abilities that plays into the Single Target rotation.
    Way too much abilities are automated.

    It's "fine", it "works". But it could be so much more.

    What FF14 machinist needs is More Guns/Modern weapons and somewhat less machines, Yoshi P should look at Lost Ark for Inspiration either he can add new guns in the next expansion AFTER Endwalker or he can create a 4th Range Pure Gunner, here 3 example of Lost Ark's 3 Gunner classes Scouter,Blaster/Artillerist and the Devil HUnter/Gunslinguer:

    It may sounds agressive but that's a genuine question.
    Current MCH has its aesthetics based on Edgar from FF VI. And kind of the machineries from XV.
    What you ask is going a full 180° to create a job based on non-FF ressources.

    Just reread yourself "Machinist needs to be more gun and somewhat less machines". A Machinist using less machines.
    A Footballer playing less football?
    A Blacksmith doing less blacksmithing and more gardening?

    I played Lost Ark on Russian servers. Precisely the Blaster class and yeah, it's fun and cool. They haveq a Flamethrower that works lmao.
    I may play the EU version, probably when XIV will get downtime.

    "After EW", it will be 7.0, I highly doubt MCH will get any changes beyond potency during the expac.
    They never did for 4.0 when it was needed the most, they never did for 5.0 when people asked for some changes.

    Gunslinger or Gadgeeter or Corsair, any of these jobs focusing on the gun use definitely deserves a place in the game.
    It's true that MCH is literally 3 GCD of gun and 2 oGCDs of gun. But it's in its thematic and don't need to go that far to get some changes.

    I do agree that MCH could welcome new oGCD fully focusing on the gun part.
