Need help: Way to macro movement mode?

Hi, I'm fairly new to FF14 and noticed that I strongly prefer legacy movement mode in combat, but strongly prefer standard movement mode out of combat.

    So my question is 2fold:
    1. Does this game support some sort of script to make it automatically toggle based on combat status?

    And if not, then:
    2. Is there at least a way I can keybind that setting change with some sort of macro such that I don't have to open the menu, select the option, and click apply each and every time?

Seeing all the keybindable things in this game, I feel like this UI customization - being able to change settings on the fly and with a click - would be fantastic.

I don't even mind if it's 2 separate macros instead of a toggle macro, one that sets me into Standard movement mode with one click and one that sets me into Legacy movement mode with another click.

    Thank you,
    Vora

you cant make a micro for this. but you can click and drag the control setting from from character menu to your bar so at lease you can get to the menu faster

I'm wondering if this is because of the difference in keybinds rather than a difference in movement mode.

The devs have chosen, strangely, to make certain keys function differently between legacy mode and standard mode, rather than maintaining key functionality but just removing standard mode's camera snap. If you change these keybinds so that your keyboard uses the same keys in legacy that you would have used in standard, you might find it fixes any perceived issues you have with legacy mode so that you can use it all the time.

    Code:
    Key Standard Legacy
    ===    ==========================    ==========================
    W Move Forward Move Forward
S Move Back / Walk Backwards Move Back / Walk Backwards
Q Strafe Left Move Left / Turn Left
E Strafe Right Move Right / Turn Right
A Move Left / Turn Left Point Camera to the Left
D Move Right / Turn Right Point Camera to the Right
If you rebind your keys so that Legacy's Move [Left|Right] keys are the keys you were using for standard Strafe, and you bind Legacy's Point Camera [Left|Right] keys to use the keys you were using for standard Move [Left|Right], your legacy movement will become "standard movement, but you never backpedal and the camera never snaps in a disorienting way".
