I can't even escape this even if I go out of my way to avoid it because it's all the FF14 community is talking about recently. I'm exhausted. Can we please start talking about something else not everyone cares about him like jesus.

hasnt been mentioned at all in my FC, nor anywhere else that I have heard on my world.
so its hardly the community as a whole.
its just a segment of it.

I legit haven't seen anyone mention Asmon in-game at all, not even in my own fc chat. The closest I have seen is a few mentions about him in our discord. Maybe it's because I'm in EU that he is getting less attention.

Also the irony of wanting people to stop talking about Asmon by making a thread that directly brings attention to him, lul

I see a lot of very recent accounts posting on these forums with inflammatory or controversial topics . All have 1 or 2 combat jobs at 80 and almost all of the crafting jobs at 80 . Im starting to wonder if these are the results of all those phishing scams that went on and are accounts that werent recovered by the original owners and now are being used to troll the community in game and on the forum.


I guess the game GMs could look into their usage history to see what the account has done to achieve level 80 , what achievements it has , if it had characters deleted and then new ones made and boosted , or perhaps these accounts are hacked accounts that are being sold with certain content preset and sold off for rmt/forum trolling reasons . It plagues the GTA community quite badly and the hacked accounts can be purchased at alarming frequency , already bolstered with credits and player rankings. I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn if it were to ever come aout that there are shady businesses that sell hacked accounts here in ff14 . It just seems so odd that these fresh visitors seem to attack in waves , especially when there is certain things that will cause a stir because of recent events or news within the ff14 community and out they pop posting controversial topics that seem to hook so many people into tribalistic arguments.

That may be the case with a number of posters here that might have registered for the forum years ago but been dormant for ages. Those probably show signs of normal player activity from before they got taken over.

But the ones with a single battle job and all their crafters levelled? Almost certainly new accounts created just to be levelled as crafting bots.

There's a spider in the middle of this web and it happens to enjoy trolling the forum with an infinite number of disposable accounts.
