A dissidia crossover in the Feast similar to the Garo event makes the most sense to me. Add Chaos and Light teams and you get dyeable gear from their respective teams and these can also double as catch up gear similar to the Garo. Some examples:

Exdeath = RDM chaos side
Garland = DRK/WAR chaos side
Squall SEED uniform = GNB light side
Tifa = MNK light side

All collabs are mostly up in the air.

The good news is in-house games like other FF titles are absolutely possible, but bad news is as soon as they hit the MogStation you should not expect them to return. So that means things like Ff13 are very likely off the table now, but things like FF11 are still a maybe.

Dragon quest is always a strong maybe.

Out of house collabs are very specific and require a certain degree of work between companies, so while they can always come back, it sort of depends on how “mutually beneficial” the cross event would be for both parties. Something like GARO is very likely NOT coming back, whereas Yokai watch’s popularity is still fairly stable..so more likely.

Its a huge tossup, really. Like we could just as easily see a Vampire Hunter D collaboration or a Mario one. (VHD’s artist is the guy who does the FF box/title art; Nintendo and Square have a long history/smash bros collabs already).

So.. who knows!

There is some FFVII music (remixed) in FFXIV, although Soken renamed them from Uematsu's original titles: Four-Sided Circle (Gold Saucer), Sport of Kings (Fiddle de Chocobo), and two remixes of Electric de Chocobo (Gateway to Paradise and Starlit Gateway). Those are all available for the Orchestrion. The mount music for the SDS Fenrir mount (Cloud's motorcycle from FFVIIAC) is also fittingly the original PS1 sound chip version (not a remix) of The Chase (Crazy Motorcycle); the theme for the motorcycle chase event in FFVII.

From FFXIII Blinded by Light, Glory's Fanfare and Saber's Edge also appeared in FFXIV during the FFXIII event, although that was long before the Orchestrion was added to the game and so have never been available to my knowledge as Orchestrion rolls.

Surprisingly no FFX music has ever appeared in the game yet sadly, despite pretty much every other FF title having music appear in some form somewhere in FFXIV (even music from FF Tactics has appeared in the game).

I know there has been remixed ost from 7. The Gold Saucer was one of the ones I knew came from 7.

It would be cool if they have 14 style like versions for the 13 trilogy. Since the music that they have used has been remixed and such. Why not add that?

I've heard that Anima will be in EndWalker, so hopefully they will have Hymm of The Fayth. I know that 14 can pull of creepy yet calming music (Example: Answers Reprise)

I just don't know why the people for the music of 14 don't have even more 'easter eggs' music from other games. Aren't they just not getting enough chatter from the players or is it just the composition of the songs that people have recommended that is very hard to remix?

yeah its weird that FFX has seen no song yet....maybe once day we get to visit Spira somehow (even if its just besaid clone im happy) or get blitzball , to zanarkand /otherworld are a must have

A little bit off topic but in a part of the FFXIV story, there is a place that has FFXIII enemies for crying out loud. Why not add each Final Fantasy's own place? Like Spira or Midgar, even if it's a 'clone' or a 'dream'

I'd kill for a proper ff6 crossover (yes I realize you get the magitech armor and the empire's aesthetic and all, but let me meet terra and celes lol)

I had a thought for how they could bring back the FF13 event. They wouldn't let you get the old clothing since it's in the mog station now, but what if they did a Lightning Returns event? Light's LR armor would be amazing, ngl.

I wouldn't put it past Square to say
"Oh, we've done a XIII collaboration. But we haven't done a XIII-2 and Lightning Returns collaboration. So here it is"

I haven't played 6 proper, but I know a bit of the story from other games such as Opera Omnia and World Of Final Fantasy. I've also know a tid bit with just seeing a discussion about 6.

The FFXIII event's whole purpose was actually for LR:FFXIII - it was run to coincide with LR:XIII's release at the time (LR:XIII in turn features a sidequest that rewards miqo'te starting armour and you can can also get the level 50 Grand Company swords for Lightning too) - you could also see this with some of the weapons offered with the FFXIII event in FFXIV were actually from FFXIII-2 and LR:XIII (Serah's bow and Mog's staff from XIII-2, and the crystal/ice axe Snow used in LR:XIII). Which is the important thing to remember about the crossover events.

Each game that has had a special event run in FFXIV, also has a special FFXIV-themed event or special FFXIV-connected sidequest in the other title in turn: FFXI has a special event featuring Eorzean spriggans appearing in Vana'diel (and the second FFXI event in FFXIV coincided with the 'Rhapsodies of Vana'diel' storyline officially completing FFXI's main scenario, hence the FFXI event in FFXIV featured that storyline's main NPC Iroha appearing mysteriously in Hydaelyn), and in FFXV there is a permanent sidequest that involves a miqo'te ACN from Hydaelyn appearing in Eos along with a bunch of ixal who try to summon Garuda, which ties in with the FFXV event in FFXIV.

Hence, no new events for other FF games I'm afraid (although a FFVII-themed special event has long been rumoured, nothing has come of it sadly).

No reason to do the XI collab again, they rather sell you the minion on mogstation.
