Players appear under player-placed outdoor seating

I don't know the circumstances, but it's been reported that my or other characters appear to be sitting beneath some player-placed outdoor seating furniture, while it looks to me like I'm sitting normally. It happens on a variety of seating, including the cold knight's cookfire, oriental deck and gazebo and has happened for years for various friends. I don't know how they encounter the issue, and I've only seen it once myself where someone's sitting under something but they say they look normal to themselves.

I've only had this happen once when my display put my pal's character into the floor. To everyone else they looked normal and couldn't understand why I was laughing so hard.
I'm not sure there is a rhyme or reason behind what triggers it, though if that can be replicated please lemme know haha
