DX11.exe errors that I cannot fix, been stumped for months

Could you try using a registry cleaner such as CC cleaner? It will run and remove files that may have been left behind by installation another activity on the PC. To so, please remove the game and then restart the PC. Run the registry cleaner and then restart the computer. Once the computer has been reset please reinstall the game again. After reinstalling the game, please restart the PC once more. Once the PC has been reset, please launch the game.

I've used the registry cleaner on CCleaner multiple times before but I guess I can go ahead and try to reinstall the game in the order you listed. I don't think it'll do anything though since I've had the issue since the first fresh install of the game on this PC, honestly just getting to the point where I'm considering selling this PC and getting another one.

Hi guys, I had this problem as well and spent ages going through Google to find solutions from changing graphic settings, game window size and other nonsense. It kept happening to me when I reached Sea of Clouds area and couldn't progress the MSQ any more...so completely game breaking.

This is how I fixed it. I used a program called Revo Uninstaller to remove the game, you have an option to clear out everything in the registry related to the game. After that I also used CCleaner free version since I saw it mentioned just in case there was a problem elsewhere. I noticed it cleaned some stuff around .net framework but honestly I don't think this was the issue. After that, just reboot and downloaded, installed the game. Now everything is fine.

I'm on a Ryzen 7 5800x, rog strix 3070, 32gb ram etc. My ram is 3666mhz. My gcard is an overclocked model by default. My Cpu does cpu boost so it's overlocking. I say this because people mention overlocking and to me this seems like a myth.

Tried all this unfortunately and still crashed. Went ahead and installed on my second drive which is an HDD and haven't crashed yet so I ordered a 120gb SSD that I'm going to install solely for FFXIV. If that doesn't work time to get a new computer I guess lmao

I tried this with all the exact steps listed and still crashed a couple hours after the reinstall. Crashes mainly seem to happen whenever i tab out of the game but can still happen without that as well. Installed on my second drive and not my main SSD with my OS and haven't crashed yet so I guess we'll see if this works.

Same as above, crash happens when i alt tab mostly, if I try to stream with OBS, if I have twitch open or youtube playing, also happens with a number of other applications.
It is really tiring.

I even tried playing it on a completely separate hard drive and I still got a crash when I was logging out of the game. Honestly just about to sell this PC and get a new one at this point lmao, I've been trying to pinpoint the issue for months now.

These are the same ones I've been getting since today after patching my game. I can't figure out what it is for the life of me, but I'll keep trying and combing through these forums, I suppose. DX11 is the bane of my existence, I swear!

You're telling me lol. I completely reinstalled windows and the game the other night and still get them, been dealing with this for literal months. So close to just selling my PC and getting a new one lmao
