Regarding the retainer glitch trick

Never seen anyone actually get punished for the retainer trick even when instant relocation was a thing before 6.0

Many players have started using the storage placement glitch outdoors to place retainers in front of players clicking placards. This syphons gil from the players that click on the retainer. A lot of players will click while watching something else and don't always know when a plot sells. I feel like it's becoming a use for players to simply get a free house and extra gil.

My best advice to avoid this is a) don't use an auto clicker and b) pay attention to the screen.

Both are reportable and bannable, but unfortunately the one that will be punished will not be the bot. It will be the one putting out a retainer.

You are not scamming anyone. You are selling highly desirable items that the person clearly wants. Why else would they be buying them?

(1) I have no sympathy.
(2) Ive actually helped my old roomate, who went to the store for nearly an hour. I held the Ps4 controller, and was in a completely different room reading a manga, while pressing the button motions. Nothing happened to his character, but I know I wasnt the only person doing this for him. He had his Wife, and another friend do it when he was at work. And, like me, they did similar with his controller.

I also just dont care about the situation enough.

Then you are fortunate that you managed to keep the sequence on track for that long – or possibly were oblivious to the fact that you were pressing the wrong thing half the time.

I just have a very hard time believing that anyone can keep pressing the right buttons in the right sequence, without the screen as reference, and while their mind is engaged in another task.

(This is not an accusation that you weren't sitting there pressing the buttons, just high doubt on the effectiveness of doing so.)

it was more like, once a minute or so, id press the 3 button sequence, or w/e it was.
