Why hasn't the memories step in the Resistance Weapons been adjusted?

So I did DR the other day to see how much mettle it would give, and to maybe get some of the relic drops. Well I was surprised to realize I never made it to that quest yet. No big deal, I'll just do a few FATES to get the last few memories I needed, instead of doing like 10 runs of a 60 or 70 alliance raid. Well to my surprise, the drop rate wasn't 100% as I had thought. It must of taken me 15 FATES to get one memory. Now when this step was "current" I can see the drop rate not being 100%, but why hasn't it and the other memory steps been adjusted yet? It just seems a bit odd given how far into the expansion we are now. I mean even the very first step still requires 60 FATES to get all the memories you need, shouldn't that have been halved by now?

if you're referring to the stormblood fate farm, your best bet is to make a pf and go blue mage and mow the fates down. the sb memory step is quite possibly the worst non-repeatable step for the relic

Believe it or not, it already has been adjusted.

The drop rate for the 18 memories in Gyr Abania & Othard used to be even lower than they are now. (February 15th hotfix, if you want to read.) Their current drop rate is still sorta low even today to incentivize the 100% guaranteed drop per alliance run, especially since the 60 & 70 alliance raids have queue length issues due to how much more likely it is you'll get CT raids.

There has to be at least one hideously awful step for each relic weapon. It's tradition.

If I'm understanding right, at least the step you're referring to is one time only. That's probably why it won't be nerfed too hard.

That step is by far the worst step in the entire relic, it set me back hard. All the other steps I had completed just by going about my business in bozja, until that step, because it is the only step in the entire relic that has NO connection to bozja content whatsoever.

I didn’t want to do that step because the FATE drop rate was atrocious at release and I have no desire to run old 24 man raids. So I just ran delubrum a ton to get the armour sets. I eventually gritted my teeth and did the FATEs after they boosted the drop rate and the next step was… farm delubrum… of course now I had run delubrum far too much and I no longer wanted to run it.

If I’d been on that relic step when I was running delubrum I’d have had 4 relics worth of artifacts by now. But thanks to that one step I was out of sync with my relic and bozja and every step after has become a chore rather than something I’m doing because it’s relevant content that also works towards my relic (as it should be).

I don’t think they should adjust that step, I think that step should NEVER have existed in the first place.

The RNG fate steps are one-time quests. You don't do them again for other relics.
