I can understand why they think that though I disagree that that's a problem. But like, that response is literally 7 and a half years old. Decisions can change over time. Never take anything said that long ago as gospel.

I hate them and they'd be the first thing I turn off.
I also hated fights in wow where the raid boss addon would have your character announce critical information, so you'd be required to turn them on.
They block my view. I need to see what's going on, not what someone is saying.

Thats why they should be an options, so everyone wins.I hate them and they'd be the first thing I turn off.

Definitely not chat bubbles. Chat bubbles were in wow at launch, Lotro, ESO, GW2, the list goes on. There's no PC that runs FF14 that would be that low in spec requirements.
Also the thing about minimum PC specs is they don't hold back as much as you think (like how PS3 held things back). Since you can simply...disable those features on a lower spec PC. (heck, games with high res texture packs don't even install those textures on low spec pcs)

Would like it as an option as well.![]()
chat bubbles are nice , so u dont have to stare at chat box , and is better for harder content if some 1 call for a mehcanic or something u see the bubble pop
