I see where some of their money is going in this post at least.yes just because they get more money than ever means they have the time and manpower to get everything that every player wants done. smh. you cannot just throw money at a problem and it magically goes away.
and if you're sooooo disappointed in what direction the game is taking... well there's always the cancel sub/cancel account button. byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!![]()
im baby
Gods I'm tired of people like you around here. People actually enjoy the content. I hate fishing but other people who play the game enjot doing it and log on every day for it. There are people who love Eureka. Stop saying you are "right" for hating something. Everything in this game is not going to be for you, and the faster you realize this, the happier you'll be.
Anyways on to the main topic, as much as I loved ShB MSQ-wise and dungeon-wise, feels kinda lackluster in the patch content. I feel like the pandemic is somewhat to blame for this, but even before that happened it felt a bit lackluster.
Man I’m so sad they stopped doing the Squadron Missions where you can run a dungeon with your hand chosen mates from your GC. OTOH I love the trust system because it’s so immersive. I just think Squadrons are the perfect representation of what WoW wanted Garrison followers to be. In other words FFXIV did followers better but now they’re unsupportedSpeaking of, I actually don't like when there is content that just stops but is still in the game. Guildhest and combat guildleve are two such contents. I've said in the past that combat guildleve is my favorite type of open world content, but since they're not updating it, I'd rather these two contents be removed and adjust the rewards for other contents to compensate.
I'm not sure how I feel about contents that seem to be replaced, like squadron-trust. If they roll trust to older contents, then I would be fine with removing squadron. Otherwise, I guess it could stay as it has distinguishable features, like being related to the GC.![]()
“right thinking”
Bozja is FUN. People like you seriously need to reevaluate yourselves if you think that just because you don’t like content that means you’re “right-thinking.”
I love all of this! I wish it would happen!I really wish they'd mash those two systems together, with the GC recruits as customizable trust options. Set them up at the GC HQ, glams, AI type, etc. and then roll into the duties through the trust menu.
I also think you should get a small squad straight away, I mean I'd basically rework the GC stuff quite a bit, but that's a bit of derailment of the thread so never mind.
Wondering what 'content' is kinda lackluster? The new end-game raids? The lack of Hildebrand to spice things up? The story-line just not doing it for you? Bozja front not your thing?
The traditional MMO used to solve the 'content' problem with ... nothing, really. For months and months and months. < flashbacks to the what-seemed-to-be-the-eternity of the Hour of Twilight patch >
Combat guildleves and guildhests are mostly for new players still levelling up. They will always be "new" contents to new players just starting.Speaking of, I actually don't like when there is content that just stops but is still in the game. To put this in perspective WoW just had the longest gap between release of an expansion and its x.1 patch. 218 days between the expansion release and patch 9.1. It's creating a bit of dissatisfaction over there also.
I think we're underestimating the effects of Covid on these large development teams. I hope we can all be understanding of not just FFXIV devs, but all the devs working through this very trying period![]()
Guildhests feel like they just kind of did what they were meant to do and there was no need for furhter ones. Aren't they basically just there to teach new players the basics of party play? That kind of runs its course, either players will do them and learn from them or they won't. I don't see much value in extending them into higher and higher level content personally.
Combat leves I can see people still wanting, especially if you don't use up your leves on crafting/gathering classes. Hests though, kind of feel like a done deal. And made partially redundant by the hall of the novice existing too.
Squadrons are a lot better than trusts; a fully leveled squadron all set to offense clears dungeons faster than most DF groups, so replacing it with trusts would gimp our ability to level 1-60.
