Some stages of the HW relic weapon are quite impressive. One feels like I need to make a retainer into barret and give it to him.

The Shadowbringer relic, in the rifle stages look rather good on a hrothgar, though you might want to do the replica version that has no aura on it, if you don't like the flower petals.

I really like the e12s weapon, it's not flashy or anything, but all the tiny details on the model is really neat and the blue accent is a nice touch.

I'd love being able to just glam a 2nd firearm onto our off-hand slot so I could gunkata with both of my favorites.

I really like Ktiseos Revolver, and I also like the Makai pistol just due to its simplicity and size.
I kinda wish there were more just normal-sized handguns in the game.

The animations are clearly not intended for it tho lol, you can see it when MCH holds their gun like a rifle it looks a bit silly.

Seconded. The only weirdness is when you Sprint it looks funny (because the off-hand is out where the barrel of a rifle would be, which looks silly with a pistol), and that it seems a bit odd to stow/strap a pistol over your shoulder, but overall, it looks good, especially with the smaller races. And especially with how acrobatic some MCH abilities are. Lot easier to flip in the air and do a one-handed trick shot with a pistol than a rifle, I would think.

EDIT: If we're picking more than one, I like the ShB/Bozja relic one's last step. The matte one looks like an old western double barrel shotgun. The final version with the glowy bits is one of the weapons where the glowy bits don't just look tacked on (GNB being another), and though a scope is a bit odd on a shotgun, the overall design works in both versions.
