I'm Excited to Login Today.

Why is that remarkable? Because I'm a WoW refugee and today was patch day. We finally received the long awaited 9.1 with all the new cinematics, raid, dungeon, season, story, zone, ect. ect. Yet, despite having put in 14+ years to that game and have long since considered it my home I find my sub over there still inactive and instead I was thinking all day at work how I was excited to get home and login to FF14 today. Continuing my journey into Eorzea, unraveling the story, having fun, being engaged with the community. This is the first time I've chosen another game over a new WoW patch. It's bittersweet.

Hopefully this is the beginning of another 14 years. Cheers!

I don't play WoW but I got a short summary of "Man, 9.1 sucks" over voicechat.

Something about a vault and something being nerfed, and something being removed because it was bugged. This is all I remember them saying.

I'm a WoW refugee myself. I started FFXIV two years ago and have never unsubbed. I started WoW during Vanilla and have gone back for every expansion. My pattern was 4-5 months on, then 4-5 months off. I *mostly* quit during WoD over Pathfinder but always went back. 9.1 seems to double down on stuff I don't like.

I'm going to work on a few more 80s and master my main job until Endwalker.
