I would absolutely hate PvP in the open world with a passion. Its bad enough when there is a F.A.T.E on top of your quest marker never mind having to watch out for the dude from Make Love Not Warcraft while I'm busy trying to do daily's on a low level class.Greetings fellow forum posters. I post this thread today in order to promote and spur discussion on open world pvp in 14. I know this might be a bit of a hot take around these parts, but I believe it would improve the game immensely. Primarily in the social grouping aspect as it would encourage partying when questing more due to safety in numbers. Furthermore, it could be used as a way to settle disputes between players. In short, might would make right. It would also be a good way for players that have issues with certain pfs a way to take care of those without swamping an overworked GM with reports. Thoughts?

If they did something like that they would have to make it seperate from normal servers. I enjoy just being able to chill in places, fly around and such. I don't wanna worry about someone trying to kill me while I'm gathering or helping someone out.
Now i personally think they should add more duel areas, maybe one per city-state? Just for fun to fight friends. But otherwise nah.

You really didn't play DRK or didn't pay attention to the story. So, bathing in the blood of the people you slaughter is fine and good? Laughing about their deaths is fine? Fray killing and hurting the people in the ishgard encampments is fine? You’re making a lot of excuses for this when it’s very clearly leaning towards a chaotic way of moralities. Especially when there’s literally an instance where we threaten the life of an unarmed guy, and then kill him when he calls guards to defend himself. Yeah no that ain’t good. It’s called the WoL thinking they’re above everyone. As for Reaper, we’re literally controlling a voidsent. That’s all we need to know. It doesn’t matter how it happens, it’s explicitly deemed that any relationship of conjuring a voidsent is taboo.
Having played TERA online and experienced and witnessed the Lumbertown bridge parties where nice red named max levels 'welcomed' new players by farming them over and over again.. I have this to add:

DRK is the WoL dealing with the traumas of their lifestyle - mental illness is NOT PRETTY. It’s not the WoL thinking they’re above everyone else - it’s the WoL *losing their mind*. Fray was not killing people at the ishgardian encampments - YOU WERE. Everything fray did was you - your mind fractured. So, bathing in the blood of the people you slaughter is fine and good? The story doesnt frame it as good - people are scared of you, youre talking to a dead body, youre killing innocents and harming civilians.
It’s you learning to embrace all aspects of yourself. So that you don’t lose your mind AGAIN.

Think about the brain damage our WoL must have, when he summoned a 2-headed-Leviathan and Transformer-Titan. And dont forget the vision he/she is constantly having. And the huge amount of light.DRK is the WoL dealing with the traumas of their lifestyle - mental illness is NOT PRETTY. After all these battles, the WoL may haven't a single scratch, but is totally broken inside.

To be fair, the WoL probably fell to the same problems the Amaurotians had with their creation magic, in which a single stray thought was more than enough to completely alter the outcome of their creations. Like how Eden Titan has a lot in common with the various warmachina the WoL has encountered over the course of their adventures, or how Eden Leviathan is capable of flight unlike his Source counterpart, more than likely a result of all the inexplicably floating fish and other water aspected creatures we've come across. Eden Ramuh is even more evident of the WoL accidentally letting their thoughts slip, what with the bottom half of his body belonging to Ixion.Think about the brain damage our WoL must have, when he summoned a 2-headed-Leviathan and Transformer-Titan. And dont forget the vision he/she is constantly having. And the huge amount of light.

Nah, the WoL is just so tired from dealing with these two-bit Ascians and their Garlean offspring that their head friend got a little uppity.Think about the brain damage our WoL must have, when he summoned a 2-headed-Leviathan and Transformer-Titan. Open world PvP...
Fun facts: PvP is atm as important as belts in patch 6.x. Lords of Verminion has more dev maintenance than PvP.
Do you really want them to make open world pvp?
