Early clear exclusive rewards

Hello, I created this thread to discuss something is quite uncomfortable to me. Getting a savage week 1 clear is quite a challenge, you need all the preparation, logistics and skills to do so. Having to learn and strategize to clear the tier week 1 is super fun, however there is no rewards for doing so. If you clear at week 1 or just wait for tomes to carry you in week number googleplex, at the end we all be bis. Getting gear early is not a reward.

What are you gonna do with the early gear? Nothing. You gonna feel better because you do more damage than the average player you encounter? Cant know because we dont have an official way to tell.

Its much more difficult to clear a fight the earlier it its but at the end everyone will get their clear eventually and bis anyway so whats the point. I would like to suggest extra and time limited rewards for people that made the additional effort and cleared all the fights when it was as difficult as possible. Could be a title, a totem that only drop during week 1 that you can use to buy an extra mount, hell could even be just an achievement.

Unlike ultimates where you have time at your side, and you can take as long as you want and in the end have the same value for a clear as everybody else, in week 1 you are against time and that specific time window will never return. Yoshida plz give us some sort of recognition for actually trying our best.

Your reward is clearing it before most everyone else, getting some gear or some manifestos toward gear, plus a shot at the already Savage exclusive mount of the tier. You also get a pat on a back and a "good job!" from your friends and fans. That's all that is needed.

You just contradicted yourself. As a form of entertainment, everything in a video game is meant to reward you with fun and enjoyment. So if you're already doing something that is, in your own word, "super" fun, then that is its own reward.

And if you think the lack of other rewards makes it seem not worth doing, then don't do it and just slow down. The lack of rewards gives you that freedom to play at your own pace, knowing that you'll get the same reward in the end, as long as you're having fun.

Isn't the sense of accomplishment enough? If not, maybe look elsewhere lol.

You realize this would just make RMT week 1 clears a bigger thing right, making your shiny accomplishment worthless because people just bought it.

Imagine gear you didn't already have, being used as a reward for clearing content in this game. Crazy stuff, will never catch on.

FFXIV has always and hopefully will always be a game that you can engage on your personal schedule and not the developers schedule, at least as far as most progression and available achievements and items.
Exceptions being Firmament titles, Feast rewards, and 1.0 content.

I do not wish to have yet another thing I have to miss out on because it's on a games schedule and not mine. There is quite a lot of FOMO out there already and it's not something I wish to encourage.

I came here to say basically this (but much less eloquently).
A change like what OP suggests would be really out of place in FF14, as it doesn't really do anything else to try and control your schedule like this.
