    Frequent disconnects tolday. others in-game report the same.

    My game is disconnecting with 90002 errors A LOT today! Other players in game are reporting the same problem.

    In fact, in Matoya's Relect 45 minutes ago, we had a total of seven people disconnect and we were constantly searching for new players. The dungeon took almost the entire allotted time as a result.

    I was lucky to not disconnect during that run at all, but I had the umpteenth dozen disconnect in the last four hours shortly after Matoya's Relect.

    Someone reported that they had a couple lag spikes during the final boss. He also reports that he almost never gets those on his connection.

    It seems that this issue on on Square Enix's side as multiple people are reporting disconnects today.

    I've been having issues too! Seems like really bad lag spikes where everything freezes for 30+ seconds before it comes back. Experienced it during a Bozja raid and a dungeon.

    Having the same problem, lots of lag spikes everytime. I did a tracert and noticed that Im having packet loss with Final Fantasy servers. It only happens with FF. Im in Behemoth (Primal).

    There are many posts on this issue and it is kinda sad

    Do you perhaps have Comcast or Charter as your isp? There are major issues with the handshake between most North American isps and NTT nodes that cause huuuuuge lag spikes and disconnection issues. You can use command prompt to see this occuring by typing tracert then the server ip. Connections will begin timing out between the Comcast junction and the first or second NTT node.

    Unfortunately this is what happens when a company treats North America like Japan and places all the servers in one place. You have most of a country routing into a single series of nodes that simply cannot handle the traffic. That is why during peak hours disconnections become more likely. You can alleviate this by using a VPN though. Exitlag and Noping work most fantastically! Others have said mudfish too because it is cheaper. I route through Canada from East Coast and went from 110 ping to between 24-40. Heck! You can now double weave as added bonus

    You can also switch DNS servers and that can help alleviate issues, for anyone else who is looking for a solution.

    https://1.1.1.1 is good, that’s what I use.

    We apologize for the delay in our response, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    - The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

    -Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

    - Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:

    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

    -Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.

    I tried the solutions in this thread. Still getting the same amount of lag. Unplayable pretty much at this point because I die a lot in any type of Duty Finder que.

    Limsa Lominsa has people rubber banding all over the place.

    In California and on Comcast.
