If you get KO by 6% the problem definitely lies elsewhere. Ironically, it's because Dark Mind is useful that Oblation is that bad.
Honestly the only time I'm using Oblation is entirely as a filler click, I click it when one is ready to be put up and i guess it takes a bit of chip damage off.
Does this make the slightest difference in survivability? no not at all.
