I mean, I personally would've liked the death penalty be removed too, but I'll happily take this over nothing. We'll have to wait until the patch notes for more details on the job

Alright, great, shitloads of healing during Walking Dead. Two questions:
1. Does the DRK still die if not healed for 100%?
2. Does the Walking Dead end the moment they are healed for 100%?
We obviously still need to see the full patch notes to get the new tooltip, but right now? Still a chance DRK could just die after their invuln, and there's a greater chance of the invuln ending sooner. Basically, still gimped to shit compared to the other three invulns because DRK can't have nice things.
Utterly underwhelming. The living dead change was needed but the job is still a boring, uninspired mess.
If antyhing, that LD change alone is a step forward, but is scary on it's own, especially without any value.
If we assume that walking dead disappear when fully cleansed, it means that there's a chance that we self-cleanse too early, so in a situation where multi hit TB is ongoing, welp ...
Ideally, only GCDs should heal, and the ammount shouldn't exceed 20% of your max hp, then it would be kinda alright, but if the self heal is stronger, then it becomes a " nerf ", because you would automatically reduce LD's duration to less than 8s.
That change from the LL is a step forward, but it would need an other change following it : when Walking Dead is cleansed, the duration still goes, but you don't die at the end of it. That would be then a really nice change

Pretty much the only way that this is going to be balanced against Holmgang's significantly shorter recast is if the new Walking Dead effect is just the lifesteal effect, without the old heal or die condition attached.
Otherwise, many of the old issues are going to remain. You could cleanse the effect too early and die. There's still no UI element to show the healing requirement, so your healers don't know how far you are from cleansing the effect and might waste unnecessary cooldowns in the process. If it's weaponskill/spell only, and/or if the healing ticks are too low, then your own contribution to the invuln may end up being insignificant.
And that's not even addressing many of the other complaints that were brought up, including Blood Weapon and Oblation.

To be fair, they did say they weren't going to talk about all changes and just only lightly touch up on a random change or two per job, and the slide even mentions there's more unlisted changes, so nothing's really final about anything non LD related till the patch notes come. Even LD is kinda ??? until we find out if its keeping the instant death condition or not.
People are also reporting him verbally talking about a DRK ability getting a stack system at one point, but take that with a grain of salt since it's just discord messages and no timestamps.
Edit: someone mentioned he says it right before WHM part of the image is listed. "We turned something on DRK into a stack action so you'll always get the number of hits no matter your latency" is the wording.

I really doubt LD will kill you anymore and it will still be a invuln so i doubt you can die from normal methods with it active
but no mention of BW was a bit concerning

DRK looked pretty cool in PVP
I saw Sol survivor,Dark arts and Darkside icons
interesting.....
