I'm a GNB main and leveling drk to 84 was enough for me. Cds don't line up, TBN is absolute trash with a resource cost, mitigation is HW outdated and you will die. This class is like a beta version of what it should be and what it is, is baaaaad.

I have to agree with you. After getting all four tanks up to the same level, I can say that WAR & PLD are super easy mode when tanking. GNB is a little bit more difficult but WAY more fun, IMO. DRK however, is just sad. It's so clunky to play and just isn't fun. DRK has my favorite aesthetic and job story, so I really hope it gets a complete overhaul at some point so that it's a viable tank for dungeons and progression. Everyone keeps focusing on endgame raids and the fact that it does the most DPS, but they keep forgetting that there's content other than endgame raids.

Oblation doesn't really do anything on its own.
I don't think 10% is enough to warrant throwing it onto a player that doesn't have Tank HP to back it up. Its simply not impactful enough, and its questionable if DRK even needed it to begin with

I don't forget that Oblation exists but considering all tank busters are magical in this savage tier...
I pop a 20% or 30% Cooldown, put on TBN and Dark mind most of them.
Which mean we have a 30% + 20%, around 44% reduction with a 25% HP shield.
If I were to add oblation on top of it... Due to the way mitigation is calculated, it would be a whooping 6% reduction. Am I right?
If you get KO by 6% the problem definitely lies elsewhere. Ironically, it's because Dark Mind is useful that Oblation is that bad.

Honestly the only time I'm using Oblation is entirely as a filler click, I click it when one is ready to be put up and i guess it takes a bit of chip damage off.I don't forget that Oblation exists but considering all tank busters are magical in this savage tier...

Does this make the slightest difference in survivability? no not at all.

2 charges
can target others
10% is decent mit
cool pose
all of this sounds decent but compared to other tanks its lacking if it replaced Dark mind for lower levels it be a bit more well received.
I like it but this as a lvl 82 skill feels out of place
Exactly and even on bosses it's trash because soul eater is worse then brutal shell. So even the 123 is shit...at this point I have no idea why this job exists given its state for the last 5 years.I have to agree with you. Yep. Brutal Shell is superior in every way. Effectively a 400 potency heal/shield combo without the risk of overhealing. It's really no contest.
Player
TBN and LD are just garbage abilities. TBN is just a damage shield to cover up how bad DRK is designed as a Tank. It's a job class designed for masochists that hate themselves.
