    Very sad to see the DRK changes today. Especially the Abyssal Drain/Carve and Spit shared timer...wtf was the point of that?

    On top of that the self sustain issue that DRK has been dealing with still hasn't been addressed while PLD and WAR both got some VERY strong heals and HoTs. DRK should be the essential drain tank. Instead that's gone to WAR now...LD still hasn't be changed. But hey at least we can reduce the CD time of plunge with unmend.

    I personally think the MP cost of the oGCDs should be reduced a bit to keep things flowing better. I also feel like Blood weapon should an HP absorb per attack and the MP regen should be higher on Delirium. Either that or Salted Earth heals you (just you) and damages the enemy while inside of the bubble. Similar to Assylum or Sacred Soil.

    I think an interesting Living Dead idea is just keeping the same effects (fighting even after death) but once it drops, you get a "Purgatory" debuff that cuts health by 1/2 for 10 seconds. The same amount of time "Living Dead" lasts for. Once that debuff drops, the other half of HP returns but must be healed.

    I'll ultimately play it because DRK was my "dream" class back in the day and the only tank I give a shit about aesthetically and story wise but it's buttcheeks for sure. At least at first glance.

    Status: wait until the inevitable rework in 6.2 or something like that.

    More like wait for the next expansion because at most they will give some bandaids at best in between. They will never make a rework mid expansion

    I was under the impression that several jobs received reworks mid expansion. MNK comes to mind, or am I wrong?

    Regardless, I suppose that in a strange and roundabout way DRK is my dream class again. DRK with its two combos with multiple finishers, the parrying mechanics that both affected MP gain and gave procs. The class that despite being worse than the other two tanks on release was FUN without a doubt and gained many a fan, which is more important. I know it will never be what it used to be but hell, even the SFX IMO has lost its edge. Gone are the blacks with red OR blue hues replaced by purples and fuschia vomit. I thought I should make a thread about it some day, I can't be the only one noticing, but eh.

    NIN and WAR, too. 5.0 NIN got its rotational elements halved and its core oGCD stuck on the GCD with 5.1. 4.1 WAR made way for the meme that is 4.15+ Inner Release (and then 5.0+ Delirium).

    So, mid-expansion reworks are possible... so long as their aim is to shallow the job.

    But, that begs the question... can DRK really be shallowed any further?

    Devs: Abyssal Drain now shares a recast with CnS. Also we nerfed our shit trait kinda that no one likes anyway.

    Eh, I mean, it doesn't really matter. I'd rather Darkside not exist since it's a non-mechanic. I'd rather Flood/Edge feed directly into Blackblood once that's unlocked.

    That's the issue with making darkside a timer. Before it was just a stance that drained your MP/stopped MP regen, so while you spend MP on some skills you have to be careful and regen them, maybe sometime drop the stance to regain MP.
    Having a communicating vessel system between MP, Blood and Darkside could be interresting. We are DARK knights not BLOOD knights. That's why Darkside should be a cornerstone mechanic
