They cheat by using third-party sources. Really discourages me from playing legit cuz I can't compare.
I wish to believe some players are really good, but 3rd party softwares are more common indeed.
While I won't sit here and debate if the bard program is "cheating" or not with you, there are definitely people who don't use it andknow how to play and compose their own stuff Those are the people that clubs and venues in game like to hire more.
Oh okay i just thought i really sucked lol
*shrugs* given that you agreed you'd never play any music that you don't personally own, on pain of having your entire account deleted... what's the point of the player piano program?
That's the devs covering their bases in case someone tries to sue them over "stealing" copyrighted music. It'll never be enforced unless someone makes a legal issue of it.
My only gripe with performance play is I can’t press two notes at the same time (only one note will be played from two pressed notes).
But I haven’t touched this feature since late 5.2 so I don’t know if they ever changed this.
This little complication baffles and frustrates me to no end, especially since I actually play the piano IRL.
I have such a hard time free handing stuff if only because I'm so used to not plunking one note at a time like a toddler.
Yup yup there are third party programs that allow for using midi files for bard songs. They do have usefulness though because if you own a keyboard with usb functionality you can use it as a midi keyboard and play this way!
It is much much much easier then attempting to map everything to the pc keyboard or controller. You can kinda play cords too by fluttering your key presses especially on instruments with 'hold' like the cello. Press note one and hold then quickly alternate between notes two and three. Do not give up though! There needs to be more people actually playing or attempting too, I think it sounds better then the stock midi stuffs I usually hear. It also means you can play aaaannnny song you wish without relying on someone writing a midi for it.
