Yeah, I was looking at stuff your suppose to get at this level and that level and it wasn't happening for me because I was over level but dragging my feet in the MSQ. I get it now.

Yeah, most things that say you get things at level X are talking about getting things from quests of that level in the MSQ. On the other hand, sidequests in ARR tend to open up according to your character level, which can lead you astray.

I think the only things actually worth getting that are unlocked purely by character level are the "battle chocobo" quest (level 30 at Camp Tranquil once you have your mount) and a few that unlock optional dungeons. Plus jobs and GC rank.
