So others are allowed to criticise little parts of my hobby but i am not allowed to kill them and their families? And tomorrow i will find the cure to all cancers

I hope so, I want him to enjoy the game but if he don't that's fine but he seems pretty hyped over big sword guy (Dark Knight) lol.
I think Scottzone and Lazypeon is the bigger public ones but there is countless of videos and reports online where people get bashed and hate from just expressing a critic or negativity about something in this game. The so called White Knights of this game is really toxic.
With that said I want to make it known i really disliked Lazypeon video from his contradicting points but no way does it valid a DT or any of the sort. Just give the video a dislike and maybe give a constructive comment why you think it was incorrect.
Example which get brought up sometimes of what I'm trying to say: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-qn0y-UL0w

Who cares? Like seriously. He's just another player who happens to stream. I really want to pretend I care but he'll be back to wow since FFXIV dont have nowhere near the amount of patsies.

People need to stop confusing the actions of a few isolated and seriously disturbed individuals as being the will of the entire community.Scottzone was a WoW vet that came over to ff14 to play through shadowbringers. He played through the first tier of Eden and the savage fights and literally the only critique he made was that he wished there were more fights. People then sent the man death threats and someone doxxed his address and threatened to reveal it if he didn’t leave and never come back. So for the safety of himself and his family he had to quit the game because he gave one small piece of critique. The lazy peon situation is somewhat similar, albeit lazypeon is just a popular youtuber that tries out mmo’s. Long story short he did a really bad review of 14 shb, where he used a leveling skip potion and msq skip i believe and then stated the leveling was too slow and the story didn’t make sense. Obviously his review was bad and seemingly bias, but no reason to send death threats to him. Well, people did. A lot. So much so i think he had to delete his video lol. There are other smaller instances of it happening but those are the biggest two. It’s pretty sad but not a shock tbh, considering how this community has a reputation for not being able to take criticism, both about the game and themselves in general.
The community is not responsible for what those individuals chose to do, nor are those individuals a reflection of the rest of the community.
Most of the community handles criticism just fine not to mention they're usually ignorant of those isolated events because they don't go to the forums, don't go to reddit and don't follow FFXIV news in social media. They're just playing the game and not worrying about what others think.
You can say that about any community. It's easy to defend XIV's since it's the one you're part of.People need to stop confusing the actions of a few isolated and seriously disturbed individuals as being the will of the entire community.

I'd rather have a community that openly shuns toxic behaviour, where the outliers that do things like stalk/harass streamers have to stay in the shadows because the community wouldn't accept it- than a community where that kind of things is encouraged, widespread and without repercussion.
I see often people say that the WoW and FFXIV are as toxic as each other- because while WoW has open toxicity that is happily encouraged by streamers and big guilds, FFXIV would be just as toxic if only the community/SE weren't so strongly against that toxicity, like being against toxicity is as bad as being toxic. I think that the rampant toxicity of WoW draws in players who want to be toxic and pushes away those who don't, while the friendly community of FFXIV draws in players who don't want to deal with toxicity constantly while deterring those who just want to make others miserable.
Even think about sprouts- almost every time I see one the party is friendly and encouraging to them, doesn't berate them for mistakes, etc... I have never had a party kick someone at the start of a dungeon just for being a sprout, and even when I was a sprout myself and made many mistakes in many raids- I was never kicked.
If you had something labelling you as a new player in WoW, you'd get kicked from every single group instantly. Heck, if they suspect you're new, you haven't done the dungeon, your gear isn't better than the gear you can get in a dungeon, or they just think your class isn't meta- you can get kicked right as the dungeon starts.
If you had someone in a dungeon cussing out another player- in FFXIV I'd expect the person doing the cussing to get kicked, in WoW I'd expect the person being cussed out to get kicked.
If the first sentence is true, then the second sentence is irrelevant as FFXIV would be one of those communities that you can say "that" about.
That said, this is the official FFXIV forum. So if anyone is going to defend it, this would likely be one place to do it.
I like to think of the two games like this. Job A is wow and Job B is XIV. Job A pays GREAT but everyone who works there hates you. You get beat up, spit on, lied about and it's just a shitty place to work. It's so bad everyone is waiting for the chance to throw shade at each other and the higher ups. But again the pay is GREAT. Job B the pay is shit, but you get hugs and pats all day. 2 hour lunches and icecream. Hell the boss even knows your kids. But again the pay is shit.Scottzone was a WoW vet that came over to ff14 to play through shadowbringers. So everyone in job A takes turns bashing it's work place to the point you wonder how it functions. While people in Job B defend it when it doesn't NEED defending.
Not sure I liked that analogy but the end was pretty spot on and funny in a way.
Saw that Asmongold posted a vlog about FF today. Hopefully people can back off now.

If people send him death threats I hope he will take legal action and those people will finally be dealt with.
