Caster limit break on controller

Is there a quick and reliable way to cast a LB on a controller? I can't aim the dang thing worth a crap, and then I can't get it to fire off, and it won't let me use my mouse for it.

I feel like an idiot because this is probably so simple a 5 year old can do it, but damn.

Macro it. /ac "Limit Break" <me> to drop it on yourself (useful for UwU), and /ac "Limit Break" <t> to drop it on a target.

Another thing that works is, on a job with a placeable aoe like drk's salted earth, you can move the circle to somewhere you're comfortable, maybe center screen. The circle will follow your camera, so this allows you to aim the lb's aoe with your right analog stick. Any of these methods work though.

You could even make the following macro

/ac "Limit Break" <t>
/ac "Limit Break" <me>

By having both in the same macro it let's you choose whether you're dropping it on yourself or a target. It will first try to drop it on a target, and if there is no target it will drop it on you.

Targeted ground effects is one of the things I've been having trouble with, the other is optimal bar swapping. Ill get the second one eventually but the first one is more helpful *now*.

Using the camera (and possibly moving your character) to aim ground targets does work well most of the time, unless you want to place it somewhere unusual.

The other thing with actually setting it off is that you need to let go of R2/L2 then press X to confirm. You can't just press the skill button again, as I initially assumed.

I used the one macro given here and it worked well. I have a hell of a time targeting ground reticles with this controller and it overrides my mouse so I can't even place with that.

The ground aim for anything on controller, really, is terrible, not just the LB. Like I almost never use the ninja dash because by the time I aim where I want to be, I might as well have just walked there.

Really hoping they eliminate it as much as possible going forward since it's driven me away from several jobs I might have otherwise enjoyed. Caster LB could just work the same as ranged physical where it just casts around/at a targeted enemy.

I dunno I have 0 issue with ground aim on controller...
I just press the button, love my camera a lil and repress...
I even weave it in uwu after being pushed by titan on during predation 2
I've n'ever had any issue with it
