WoW devs sent a congrats card to the FF14 team

I got to sign this card! I don't play too much XIV actively but I loved Shadowbringers and hop on occasionally to see what's new.

The industry is a tight knit place, we would rather celebrate each other's wins than be antagonistic.

So strange I had to go through the WoW forums to learn this and I assume someone over there follows a Blizzard dev who posted this.

It seems that after the FF14 team sent a congratulations card months ago on the successful launch of Shadowlands the Blizzard team decided to reciprocate with their own card.

I like how that Blizzard dev words that Tweet and it is extremely accurate as the communities themselves are fighting like children all the time.

I care that it is obvious outside of these forums and some Youtube drama queens normal people still act like humans. It is also FF14 related and I personally think it is pretty cool they made some custom artwork for the FF14 team as a congrats.

but they're right, most of he OP's posts on this forum are related to blizzard in some shape or form even in unrelated topics
mentioning this doesn't mean someone is miserable, you're reading too much into things that aren't there

If this is used to imply that WoW's playerbase are more "adult" than FFXIV's and as such less toxic and miserable, how is it that the reputation of our community is generally more positive than WoW's?

that's not what they said or implied at all...? again you seem to read too much into things apparently
and speaking about reputations; before I started playing FF last year, I've never heard anyone say a bad word about WoWs, aside from the usual guild drama - on the other hand, I had heard bad things about XIVs
also, I don't think I've ever seen google docs about really stupid drama from people that play WoW, while I've seen several of them in regards to XIV and I'm friends with people that love and share this kinda stuff around (that played WoW for far longer than XIV)
anecdotal evidence, sure, but I don't think it's seen as positive in comparison to WoW as you think it is, from my experience at least

It's nice to see, and kind of a bucket of cold water on the heated debate within the playerbase. I am often reminded of Yoshi P calling himself a Blizzard fanboy.

Competition is better than rivalry. (It's definitely better for us, the players).

But I'm also a somewhat salty ex WoW player. lol It's a nice gesture, but I have a hard time not seeing Blizzard's angle if there is one. I could be wrong and I hope I am.

One day I hope we do get this tell all book about what is really happening over there at Blizzard because I guarantee it would explain a lot. It is odd they sent it now and not in 2019 when Shadowbringers actually launched and we are in a content lul. Something is going on and I am not sure.
