    Unable to start game on Mac - black screen

    I am new to FF and after playing on the PS5 I decided to buy the game on my mac for more mobility. I purchased the game 3 days ago and I have not been able to play the game because when I log in and click "play" the screen goes black and then crashes. I have restarted my computer, reinstalled the game, searched the web for anything useful but everyone just says that the Mac version doesn't work. Which if this is the case why are they still selling it?

    OS: Big Sur 11.4
    MacBook Pro 2020
    Processor - 2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
    RAM - 16 GB 3733 MHz LPDDR4X
    Graphics - Intel Iris Plus Graphics 1536 MB
    Memory - 500GB, 360GB of available space

    We would recommend reviewing the minimum specifications for Mac located here: https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/system_requirements/#mac and making sure the desired Mac meets them. Unfortunately, any Mac configurations that are outside of these requirements may experience issues when attempting to run FINAL FANTASY XIV.

    Update: After speaking with SE customer service "minimum requirements" really means exclusive requirement when it comes to Mac's OS and the game has not been updated in the last 4 months to be compatible with the latest Big Sur updates. I was advised to issue a dispute with my credit card company and start a new account if I wish to continue playing this game.
