In the past have they increased armoury when adding classes?

I personally hope that once belts are removed, those slots will be relocated to rings. I find it frustrating that we're given the same number of slots for rings when people often equip two rings to each class. This is more obvious when leveling multiple classes.

They've already told us where the slots are going.
They're being split evenly between weapons and rings with 5 set aside for a rainy day.
Rest easy, we ARE getting more ring space~

How do people need more space for rings? I have only three full lines for rings...all of them are part of gear sets except one(eternity ring).

Not everyone has all jobs at 80. If you have jobs, and especially crafting classes at all sorts of levels it can be REALLY easy to cap out on ring space.

Rings are only really a problem while leveling. Once you've capped everything, there's enough sharing between jobs that it's easy to clear the clutter. Weapons, on the other hand.....

Well, for the sake of argument: I'm level capped on everything. Here's my weapons tab:



And here's my rings tab:



It is a bigger mess if your jobs are all at different level ranges and can't share rings. But weapons are never shared, so that's always gonna be a bigger mess.
