About damage essences in Delubrum/Dalriada

Can't speak for the second half of Bozja, but in SF FATES and CEs spawned faster than I could even keep up with. Farming trash for clusters wasn't a thing I even had time to do; it would've been a pointless diversion. So, by the time I was all leveled up and running DR for my relic I had no essences by design, same as everyone else.

So, that's why no one uses essences.

Certain key skirmishes for notes or that lead to CE for duels spawn via killing key IV legion trash mobs in certain locations. People standing in camp shouting about how long its taking for MDK or Super Soldier to pop or the chain that leads to the Sauvatoir duel. If you are killing the prerequisite mobs to spawn those, youll be drowning in clusters.

Maybe I just got lucky but the last several runs of DR I did to finish up were much faster than my earlier runs when it first came out, not sure if more people started using actions/essences or if I just got lucky.

I’ve been entering DRn again with friends for weekly & we certainly had a varied experience ever since Zadnor went live. It’s still largely the same: a dice roll. You’ll either get bunch of players who’s committing to use essences & the run gets roflstomp’d really hard(this does happen -slightly- more frequently now), or little to no essence users & the run went by for 40m’ish/potentially longer.

Were you doing it solo alongside another group or were you the only one tagging those mobs? The rank also matters, higher ranked mobs have a higher drop rate. Spawning a skirmish by myself has netted me nearly a cluster per mob.

It takes around 30 seconds to kill the ring of mobs. Pull them all and AoE with lifesteal essence up.
Are you basically saying "I farmed 30 secondes, got 1 cluster and I'm already tired"?

Okay it may take up to 45 seconds but the point remains the same. Get with 7 other people and farm, that's where you drown.

I don't care about notes, duels and titles; so why would I be killing the prerequisite mobs?

Most people only ever set foot in Bozja because they needed to for their relic. Those people don't get the essences they need by simply participating in Bozja, and they have absolutely no reason to go out of their way to farm clusters. This is all by design.

I'm not going to tell anyone else to use a limited use item based on RNG in a non PF pug group.

Think thats the most frustrating part. I mean what else are you going to with all those essences and lost actions? it's not like you can use them in a dungeon or ex primal or eden raid or well anything outside of bazja....

You get basically no fragments running FATES or CEs, which is pretty much the entirety of what Bozja is. Instead you have to sit outside killing trash for fragments, which you then have to gamble at crap odds to get essences. My entire time in Bozja I got exactly 5 usable essences for my Job.

Yeah, that's the game actually making the overworld non-FATE mobs have a purpose of existing. You're meant to kill some of them too.

Ever noticed how in the normal overworld, unless enemies had a quest/hunt target over them, you probably just ignored/avoided them? Yeah.

Partying up for frag/cluster farming makes the process insultingly easy. If you're too lazy to bother with even that, then well... it only stands to reason that your performance is going to suffer.

I don't hold on to them. However not everyone has a excess of them for my role. I had very very few despite living in Bozja for awhile (had tons of tank and healer but almost no dps). I had to purchase more with gill. It is also bad to assume that everyone must be having the same experience of a dearth of lost actions for what they play.
