Mettle is only useless when you get all the buffs. It's useful in ALL Bozja content. CLL, DR, and Dal all go faster when you see several people with high or even 10/10/10 in there.
On Dal however, I see your point if you are working on more then one relic. You can just run DR for one and get the clusters at the same time. And getting mettle for the buffs is faster going around to each skirmish and CE (especially if you have the mettle buff for someone beating a duel).

You only need the 10 buff to DPS to make CLL,DR and Dal go faster.
