Mentor Roulette should have longer lockout time

If mentors are just going to bail if they get EX in Mentor Roulette, then why are EX trials in it in the first place?

Thought I think part of the reason may be non-Japan servers paying the price for how Japan servers do things in reverse with DF and PF.

You probably will have some luck if you're using DF for those contents in JP DC, but NA DC? That's like asking for a punishment, be it to your time spent or your sanity. Save yourself some potential headache and use PF----or if you're simply looking for a clear, do them unsync with the help of your friend if you even need any.

I dont have access to mentor roulette since the goal was moved for commends.. but I've lead my fair share of Exs trails as a crafting mentor.. yeah thr combat mentors are usually thr first ones to leave once they load in or demand to be kicked without even a pull.. ive had to 7 man a number of Ex primals with sprouts and still managed to clear thanks to thr echo (by 7 man I ment the combat mentor said kick me or I'm going afk.. we refused they went afk and got a free clear and 7 reports)

The Exs are honestly not that hard and if they're signing up for them they're willing to learn you just need thr time an patience to teach them.. heck until recently I was on ps4 teaching Exs.. its so much easier now that I have an actual keyboard lol

Extreme trials you get in Mentor roulette are a case by case basis in my book (I would never use the blanket statement everyone signed up for the fight, signed up to learn the fight). Granted I've actually tried teaching some of the fights I've gotten to no avail with no one listening (and in one case a funny argument that involved people saying the mechanics were being explained wrong).

EX trials should definitely be removed from Mentor roulette. As they stand right now they only exist to punish mentors with either a 30 minute cooldown if they leave, or with an unwinnable 1 hour fight if they stay. Because that's what an EX trial is with a bunch of undergeared new people that don't know the fight. Impossible. You can't explain the fight AND clear it within 1 hour.

And while we are at it, I agree, remove MSQ from Mentor roulette. Mentor roulette is supposed to be for experienced players helping new players and you can't help someone watch a movie.

Many of the EX trials are doable though the ARR ones in particular are not that difficult and most of the time its like a 6/2 - 7/1 split between mentors/sprouts so majority should have an idea of the fight.

Leaving immediately is just being shitty respect the time of people who waited to queue and try the fight at least a couple of times and you can get a feel if its doable or not.

Personally, I learned all of the ARR trials while they were still somewhat current. With HW, I'd say they were half and half. Learned some of them the hard way, and I learned some of them when we could unsync them as fresh lvl 70s. Still had to do most of the mechanics. The fights were just shortened ever so slightly. I only know a couple of the Stormblood trials (Susano, Lakshmi and Rathalos), and I have honestly only done one Extreme during Shadowbringers, that being Memoria Misera. The stress of trying to clear that one turned me off to the rest, to be honest. I'll probably try to clear the Weapon trials in the next few months though, then dive into the rest come Endwalker, similar to how I handled some of the HW trials in the past. Slightly less painful, but still educational.

the ARR ones can be brute forced for the most part most have like 1-2 things that need to be explained back in ARR they were done in the DF all the time due to no cross world pf and many jobs are pretty OP at 50 now.

I’m of the opinion that EXs should stay in mentor roulette.
Someone has to be able to tell others how to use party finder!
