Looking at you, Thousand Maws and your cutscene so long the first time I ran it the boss was dead by the time I got out.... >>No, the cutscenes need to be a constant that is un-coupled from any particular player. Otherwise, the long cinemas become the newbie's "fault" and everyone knows it. Or, as ItMe pointed out, experienced players will just leave in hopes of getting a non-cutscene run later.
I say, make some of the other ARR dungeon cinematics unskippable as well. It's impossible to enjoy them or experience them properly when you can practically FEEL the other party members breathing down your neck as you try to speed-read as fast as possible and barely pay attention to what's being said.
no.
its one of the few places new people can actually ask questions if they have them. instead of running through as fast as possible, you get to talk to other players. thats kind of the point of mmo's after all. you can chat with people and avoid limsa, win win in my books
Heaven Forbid an experienced player actually help a sprout while going through a cutscene, or worse, explaining part of the story
They made that scene unintentionally hilarious for anyone who did it back in the day by just removing the choices. They should have defaulted to one.
"Tell me, for whom do you fight?"
*crickets*
"Hmph. How very glib."
Yeah it did make perfect sense before, now with the choice stripped it's just a meme.
Also I love how many people wanna turn stuff into solo instances. That's what MMOs need after all, more solo content. As if new people don't complain enough that they have to do so much solo content in aMMO, let's give them even more of it by taking away group content. Genius.
It's a cutscene gallery. There's no need sit in a queue if all you're doing there is watching cutscenes; the gameplay is unrecognizably nerfed.Yeah it did make perfect sense before, now with the choice stripped it's just a meme.

Rebalance the gameplay and then I'll reconsider, but it's an insult to the rest of the game to consider any of that garbage a dungeon. Sastasha is more engaging. Seriously, Sastasha. The room before the final boss there can teach a player more than all of the current state of Praetorium.

This topic has come up often enough, but the reasons stand for why cutscenes became forced: the devs felt it was unfair to leave new players out, so they increased the rewards significantly to make up for your time spent inside.
..That said, the same thing I've said in previous posts I think still stands: Devs take time to make a DLC update to the game, including they make the whole entire final Prae/Castrum a solo/NPC assisted mission.
